Agreed. Sad, name of the game right now, but wish we didn't default to that. We have options.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

It is sad, and they've gone to that well so often, it's as if they forgot that there ever was another option.  And they went to it with Minshew.  Boneheaded decision.

I was on the anti Hurts express this past offseason and gladly ate my crow, so I’m not clinging to any anti-Hurts position or rhetoric…but Howie better tread carefully here.

He saw how quickly things went south with Wentz.  Lamar Jackson’s stock (along with the Ravens’ fortunes) has gone relentlessly downhill since his breakout year.  He’s not going to compete for anything anytime soon and there’s a reason he doesn’t have a contract.

Hurts silenced the doubters, proved everyone wrong, and earned the starting job.  If they have a quiet and early playoff exit, then Hurts needs to prove he’s not Lamar Jackson by going on a run next year.  Then they can give him big money.

No qb, unless they look like a generational talent, should get big money before some kind of either playoff run or sustained year to year success.

He also hasn't proven crap yet in the playoffs or in a big game during the regular season. Yeah, he beat Dallas, but that isn't close to deserving a massive contract yet. Next year he'll have to play the Bills and KC. Howie needs to be smart and see how things go. Yeah, he may cost more waiting, but I'd rather pay him 4 or 5 million more a year and know he's legit vs the team being sunk for years with a horrible contract.

Dare I say. Gainwell is a threat in short yardage. They block it up, he finds the hole.

Wish we used him more...

Honestly re Hurts' extension: if after the post-season, Hurts hasn't proven himself worthy of an extension, then I hope Howie punts the NO pick into next year, heck maybe punt both picks into next year.

Between Caleb Williams and Drake Maye, you by all early indications are looking at two 10/10 rated prospects. Might as well load-up on draft ammo and shot your shot next year.

Now, all this is moot if Hurts leads us to a deep playoff run. He then gets paid, that's all.

Come on man, it’s hurts. Let’s stop fighting it and be glad we found a guy. No more QB carousel.

Hey, Back Off!

He's a still basically a Rookie, finding his footing...:P

Let's see if he can still throw the deep out to Quez......

We don’t know that yet.  Gotta win in the playoffs.

Next year the team won’t be as good, and the schedule is tougher.

We saw how it played out for Lamar and Cam after MVP seasons.  Went downhill and injuries took over.

Those guys, unlike Hurts, didn’t miss games in those seasons.

And as I said earlier, this team just got over the mess of paying a QB too soon.

Minus a Super Bowl appearance, I bet they wait.  And if Hurts really is the guy I am told he is, he will go put in the work and do it again.

And if Tampa or Dallas kicks his ass round one in the playoffs everyone will be blaming the injury. I like what I've seen but paying him isn't something they should rush into. What are we talking 52 million a year if they wait vs maybe 47 if they sign him now? Whatever. It pays to wait and see.

Lamar doesn't have a contract because he wants more money. He turned down an offer from Ravens for 250M and 133M guaranteed

And Jets owner came out and said they will spend big on a QB, wonder if they go for him

Self-advised, nuff said. We're talking hundreds of millions to play the game with a broke dick dog.

I have gone to a couple of games in my life and I absolutely hated the experience. I hate waiting in line, I hate finding parking, I hate the cold, and I hate dealing with people. It is just a miserable time from my point of view. I much rather sit at home on my nice comfy couch in front of my TV and watch the game. If I need to do something, I can pause it and come back to it.

I get why people like going to the stadium., I just loathe it so much. Not just football I feel the same way about all sports.

Do you ever go to music concerts or movies?  They all fit your loathing profile.

Justin Herbert hasn’t proven crap yet in the playoffs, would you pay him?

Jalen will be fine next week.

It's the playoffs, every player is in pain and dealing with something.

It's uncanny.  Gainwell always seems to get the middle tough yards.  Like WTF?  I guess he just squirts through or is tough to locate or the line really can get 3 yards with anyone running straight ahead?
