Agreed on the week 17, mostly a collection of teams tanking, semi tanking, scoreboard watching or trying not to get hurt ahead of the playoffs. The better $ grab in my opinion would’ve been a 16 game season with 2 byes - as that generates another week of televised games and actually has something to do with player safety.

Can’t wait for 18 games/8 teams making the playoffs per conference.

It is definitely coming.    We've gone a long way from the 12 game season, with 1 playoff game to where we are today.

I don’t want the SB champ to be less about who the best team was that year and more about which team survived the attrition of a long season and was playing well enough at the end of it… essentially the NBA reality where the regular season is a tune up for the playoffs (fingers crossed Embiid is healthy) and the early part of the season can be taken less seriously… more garbage time.

Played two at least above average QBs all year (dak and rodgers) and gave up 30 to both of them, also gabe up 30 to goff and the lions. He makes zero adjustments before the half. With the talent this defense has if they weren't top 3 he should have been fired

I’m not even a big fan of the 17 game season and I thought I would be just cuz it’s another week of football.

It wasn't very hard to predict after the first 8-12 games, the 17th game added nothing.

Decent article for the analytical minded on timeouts. A blurb about our team:

The Eagles, who finished tied for the league’s best record, did the best job of preserving their timeouts for end-of-half situations, rarely calling them outside of the last four minutes, losing just two challenges, and taking a pair of delay-of-game penalties.

Sometimes delay of game penalties are good clock and field management … when you are punting into a short field. The five yards actually khelps the punter and more seconds are run off the clock giving the opponent less time to work with

Or if you are trying to draw a defense offsides on a 4th and short... yes, some acceptable situations.

So you mean to tell me you knew all 7 playoff teams in each division by week 8 LOL. 

San Fran was 4-4 in week 8, Tennessee was 5-2 in week 8, Jets were 5-3,  Detriot was 1-6 in week 8, But your right easy to predict.  

I also feel the 7 seed is stupid, and lot of these things could've been determined in week 17 (16 games).  A couple things that I don't like in this situation.

I finished in the top 1.7% of the million entries on ESPN picking games this year.
