I think there’s plenty of evidence to suggest QBs can get hurt anywhere. What that exercise shows is the percentage of plays where the play ends with the ball in the QBs hands, plus the hits they take in the pocket. It seems for longevity sake, the percentage should be down near the low 20s at worst

I will be watching all the games this weekend.  I will track Josh Allen's hits, specifically on rushing attempts.

If I was to venture a guess based on what I have seen this year, I would guess 60% of his hits on designed runs are by much smaller players, and he is initiating the contact.

You are far less likely to get hurt initiating contact.  TJ Edwards has 289 tackles the last two years, which means he is initiating the contact 289 times.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

That’s not implicative at all to the lay man

I know but, didn't have issues with his elbow and what not this year? Anyways I think the real question a coach, gm, fan has to ask themselves.... Would you rather your QB get hurt in the pocket trying to get a ball down the field or getting blown up running for a meaningless yard on a designed run

Agreed.  I would prefer they stay in the pocket and get the ball out quickly and take no hits, like Brady.

Are they in the pocket tho?

How is a comment like that ban worthy?

Probably more of a straw that broke the camel's back sort of thing. Dude was out of control, and his swastika stunt was just flat-out disgusting, no matter how you slice it. No value lost with him gone.

Hats off to lane is he’s able to do it. I had a hernia in my lower ab area in my late 20s. It was super painful. I can’t imagine going out there and playing in the nfl with a sports hernia.

So irsay has been drinking again. Texans gonna get young anyway. I like Levis but not enough to trade a ridiculous haul it’s gonna take to get to 1 for him.

I had a few moderately sprained ankles and could hardly walk.

Lane played multiple years of professional sports on an ankle that completely collapsed.

Dude's tough as nails.

F them picks... or you could just stay put, just saying?  I don't know, I'll leave this to the QB gurus.

I mean, Levis is a good prospect, did not take the leap he needed to this year, but worth a shot.

I don't know if the Colts need to move up from 4 to get him, could probably trade back and get him.

Holy crap....so they are going to make a Fultz trade. He will be there at four.

That rumor is fake news, that's not happening lol.

Don’t get me wrong. I would take him in the top 10. I just wouldn’t trade up what it’s going to cost  to get to one to get him. Frankly, I don’t know if he is the number one pick. I’ve seen some people say they think he is going to be. I just don’t think the capital you’re gonna give up to get him at one is worth the risk that goes with it. When I watch him, I think he’s a hybrid of Matt Stafford early in his career and Josh Allen. But you might never get him to the level that those guys played at and you are severely hurting him by giving away players and picks which could hurt his development.  Allen had the arm talent but needed a lot of work it’s why he went 7th overall.

also, I need to know who my head coach is and who he prefers before making that decision. I get they’re still gonna have the same owner and GM but I want everyone on the same page if I’m making that move to get my quarterback at one overall and giving up that capital

The whole week I was leaning Giants against the Vikings, but it's becoming such a trendy pick now, I'm starting to lean back the other way.

It's such a weird game to pick because the Giants outplayed them last time and only lost due to dumb turnovers, and the Vikings defense sucks and they get out-yardage'd in almost every game. But they're at home and clearly have more talent.

This will be the ultimate game of talent vs coaching and see who wins.

Some road teams are going to win this weekend, but as I am looking at my weekly pick em at work, I am struggling to find them.

I have the Chargers, and can not find another one.
