Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Sitting up in the bleachers for a game is one thing

For an unproven rookie trying to make the team?  Say whatever you want, Im a parent myself, but hell no.  These are grown ass men out there, focus on your job and leave mommy and her umbrella behind.

Maybe he wouldn't have sucked so much if he just focused on the task at hand and got better.

I would have told my mom "thanks, love you, but come to a game and Ill give you the facility tour later."

Talk about fragile masculinity. Scared other players are going to know your mom loves you? The horror.

Craziest hit in the last 30 years

Let's give D'hani Jones credit for making that play possible by putting his hands up!   Darren Howard, there's a name from the past too.

Holy hell there are some chicken littles in this thread.

We're not losing to the Saints, with or without Hurts.

JJAW was agonizingly slow and only had size/strength that was effective in boxing out PAC-10/12/whatever it is amatures.

He was drafted to be what AJ Brown is, but he never had that kind of strength or physicality.

That failure was inevitable from the moment he was drafted.

If Jason Kelce or Lane Johnson were hanging out with their moms on the sidelines, everyone would think it’s the cutest thing…

Just like Reagor was never going to be Desean Jackson and didn’t have that elite speed he was said to have. He also just flat out sucks

The team hasn't played at home in four weeks.  That alone makes me confident.

Another week of reps for the backups.  Another week for the coaches to tailor the game plan.

Don't turn the ball over and it will be a walk on Sunday.

I agree the point about being on the road for 3 straight is valid, that may explain the Sanders Fumble, however, it really doesn't explain 3rd and 30 .. the injuries are more likely the explanation of why you give up a 50+ yard pass on 3rd and 30.

It also does not explain giving up 24 for 24 to Dak vs the zone.    what explains that is poor coaching. We still have those injuries and the poorly coached Defense.  Not to mention Turnovers come and go in bunches, and can wreck any good game plan.

So I am NOT as confident.

I'm more confident in Gannon than I am in Scott/Epps/Blankenship.  Players have to make plays, and those guys as a group are not capable of making many.

We just played arguably the worst game we've played this season, against a divisional opponent, who's one of the better teams in football, with our backup QB....and came a literal pass away from winning.

OMG THE SAINTS!!!!!! WOE IS ME!!!

Y'know who also didn't have the elite speed everyone thought he had? Jeremy Maclin. He ran something like a 4.5 at the combine and everyone brushed that off by saying he ran faster than that at Missouri. Turns out he wasn't a 4.3 guy after all. He was what he ran at the combine. Ditto for Reagor. I think he did a 4.47 at the combine but like they did with Maclin, everyone said he did faster than that at TCU.

In other words, I think combine times are pretty accurate. When you run slower than people expected, it's probably because you ARE slower.

Maclin didn't suck, btw, so I'm not trying to compare him to Reagor as a player.

There should be chips and double teams on him all day.

Yep. One of the great things about Johnson is you can leave him on an island every game and not break a sweat. On top of Driscoll struggling by himself, the coaches are going to have to somewhat limit the offense to help him out.

He was drafted to be like Alshon. He was nothing like AJ Brown as a prospect.

Haason is 3.5 sacks off league lead; if he catches Bosa, I don’t think he gets DMVP but that would be something if he got a vote or two.

And this is the game for him to get there

He is criminally underrated. Anytime the national media talks about the Eagles they usually don't even mention Reddick.

Real first world problems to have.

It's not the saints I worry about- It's Minshew to Scott fumbles, false starts, Scott, Epps, Blankenship missed coverages,  Dillard giving up pressures, tipped ball interceptions, missed Fg's,  And gannons soft coverages...

thats the reason I have concerns. We SHOULD WIN THIS GAME BY 30, but i'm thinking it will be closer than it should be and it ends up being a single digit game,  like 33-24.... at best

Or... make that the design... and make Jordan slow by having him question what he's doing.   They can read him and use his aggressiveness against him early, and that might slow him down later.

Also Josh Sweat has taken a pretty big step up this year. I dont think many people have been talking about the progress he has made. Those two players along with the possibilities of this draft have me excited about next year's Dline. All part of why I would love to find 2 starters in the draft with our first two picks. Get a DE to replace BG and have BG coming off the bench next year, and find a stud DT to replace Cox. We may have to bite the bullet on Hargrave, but if we nail the draft with those first two picks then this Dline will be truly dominate for years to come.
