Also Josh Sweat has taken a pretty big step up this year. I dont think many people have been talking about the progress he has made. Those two players along with the possibilities of this draft have me excited about next year's Dline. All part of why I would love to find 2 starters in the draft with our first two picks. Get a DE to replace BG and have BG coming off the bench next year, and find a stud DT to replace Cox. We may have to bite the bullet on Hargrave, but if we nail the draft with those first two picks then this Dline will be truly dominate for years to come.

Jalen Carter

Jared Verse

Would be awesome!

Look for CB2 with the RD2 pick

Look for RB1 with the RD3 pick

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Talk about fragile masculinity. Scared other players are going to know your mom loves you? The horror.

Yeah thats it, you nailed it.

All the rookies and young players next year should bring their mothers to training camp, that will really help them focus in on football and create a family atmosphere.

Everyone will know all their teammates are loved and cherished and that contributes to excellent football.

He is criminally underrated. Anytime the national media talks about the Eagles they usually don't even mention Reddick.

Real first world problems to have.

We're still the Red-Haired Stepchildren of the NFL. Not sure why. I think they all Hate us...:smoke:

We're leading the NFL in mostly every measurable they have, about to secure the Top Seed in a very Competitive Division and they still leave us out of the conversation..

Kinda like it tho, sucker punch is needed sometimes...satisfying results..

Craziest hit in the last 30 years

We really needed that hit to be a second later so it could've been a fumble return for a TD. Maybe that would've been enough to actually win the game.

I wouldn't hate a WR in the middle rounds of the draft. Not a huge need and we have much bigger fish to fry in the early rounds. But an upgrade at WR3 with a role player (speedster, blocker, red zone jump ball get etc) would be nice if we can find one in round 4/5.

Hurts listed as doubtful

Y'know who also didn't have the elite speed everyone thought he had? Jeremy Maclin. He ran something like a 4.5 at the combine and everyone brushed that off by saying he ran faster than that at Missouri. Turns out he wasn't a 4.3 guy after all. He was what he ran at the combine. Ditto for Reagor. I think he did a 4.47 at the combine but like they did with Maclin, everyone said he did faster than that at TCU.

In other words, I think combine times are pretty accurate. When you run slower than people expected, it's probably because you ARE slower.

Maclin didn't suck, btw, so I'm not trying to compare him to Reagor as a player.

And that’s why they run the 40 at the combine and people pay attention to it.

Maclin was billed as a burner in college…looked the part on tape too.  Disappointing 40 at the combine and that’s really what his true speed was.  He was still a really nice NFL wr.  Not slow either, just not a burner.

Reagor, same thing.  Really disappointing combine and that really showed everyone he wasn’t a burner.  Reagor probably would have been a bust even if he were a true 4.2 guy considering the attitude and other issues…but it still became clear that he wasn’t that fast.

Every so often, the test lies a bit.   Sometimes you get some big long striders who look slow on tape, run a fast 40, and are slow in the nfl. Jordan Matthews managed a 4.46 and was agonizingly slow.  On the other hand, Donte Stallworth was a true burner in college and in the pros, yet I think clocked a 4.5.

I think the haters of the 40 like to show busts with great 40 times and studs with bad ones.  That’s not what it’s about.  It is simply used to evaluate a player’s speed for the position.  You have busts and studs with good and bad speed…schemes and positions that do or do not require speed.  Some scouts just want to make sure the speed falls within an acceptable range/athleticism for pros, others are looking to bump up the guys that are a standard deviation above the rest (and bump down those a standard deviation below).

I just think it’s fascinating because it’s very controversial.  Interestingly, the vast majority of good Eagle draft picks (regardless of position) have run excellent 40s and the majority of busts have been less impressive.

It's terrible already. 8-3 against us. And JG will continue to play the defense he loves to carve up

This year 1-0   Last year 1-0. 2020 1-1 2019 1-1 2018 2-0 2017 0-1 2016 1-1

Looks like 7-4 to me.

This essentially adds nothing, but posting anyway.

Not disagreeing at all. But I think Westbrook is one of the ones that contradict this. I think he ran a low 4.6. And yet he never seemed to get caught from behind in the NFL.

In that line of thought, when was the last time the Eagles drafted a player with underwhelming measurables that turned out to be a good draft pick?

I suppose Devonta Smith could be nominated for that, although he escapes on the technicality of not having a workout.

Jalen Mills?

Howie actually does better when he goes after freak athletes.  The misdirection on Reagor is that he actually wasn’t that explosive or good of an athlete.

If Jalen, Lane and CJG are playing, the Saints may as well stay in the Bayou.

None of them are playing.

Absolutely.  Trent Cole is another.

I know you are talking about Dak/Cowboys, who is JG he is talking about?

As the year winds down.  I just wanted to say THANK YOU To Coach Sirianni and all the Coaches and Staff.  Along with all the Players on Offense, Defense and Special Teams for a Wonderful Historic Eagles Year.   Lets finish this strong in 2023 for the ultimate goal of bringing another title back to Philadelphia.   But 2022 was an amazing Year in Eagles History.

Quez Watkins is fine at 3.  Someone needs to  draw the ire of the fan base.  Pretty solid team when Quez is the punching bag.

Only if he's not asked to go across the middle... he's not a WR that handles traffic well, which strangely is what a #3 is usually asked to do.  Fortunately, Brown excels there.  But as we saw against Dallas, Quez can get abused inside.

:offtopic:Again, however...

I live on a small Island on the Jersey Coast. 3 Bridges in or out.

Two young Idjits in a White Land Rover just robbed a Local bank. This is 30 minutes ago.

Police shut down the three bridges, Idjits got caught up in traffic, Arrested while sitting in the vehicle.

You can't make this stuff up. Too Effen funny.

Imagine these guys sitting around planning this thing.

"We'll be fine, head out over the bridge after the job, no one will catch us"... in a White Land Rover, seen leaving the scene...

Not exactly a couple Masterminds...

My faith in our younger generation is being tested...

Hurts doubtful.  Yay.
