How confident are we in Minshew beating the Saints? I know they aren't a great team but I'm not liking the possibility of locking up the East and #1 seed against the Giants. They would probably love getting some payback for Doug pulling Hurts a few years ago.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

This would be... interesting.

They would probably treat it like a preseason game. Get Hurts in there, let him lead the first drive to two touchdowns, and then pull him after.

Agreed, still not something I'd expect them to do.

If they do play him, would they play him with the 2nd team guys? If so, that doesn't seem like it would accomplish much, and if you don't, then you're risking other guys getting dinged in a meaningless game.

So much easier to just say...

Jonathon Gannon.

That doesn't clog up the whole thread.

It is also easy to engage your brain, read the post, and then apply logic and figure it out, as I did, immediately when I read the post.

Half that Giants team is gone and the other half probably don't care. We gave them one less week with Joe Judge, they probably should thank us.

The way the Eagles are playing this, expect Hurts to be a GDT

I was stuck on JG Playing against the defense HE likes to carve up... trying to figure out who JG on Dallas was...LOL

Sorry- that was my mistake.

I'll admit my mistake. I'm a man.

If Minshew leads this team to a second straight loss then playing Hurts is an absolute must in the final week to secure the #1 seed.

Point stands, if they aren't declaring him out today, might as well tease it til kickoff and then put him as an inactive.

That’s what your dad said 9 months after he didn’t pull out quick enough

They did declare him out today.

And that's how teams get busted for playing games with the injury report. They will likely downgrade him to out tomorrow afternoon.

Haason is 3.5 sacks off league lead; if he catches Bosa, I don’t think he gets DMVP but that would be something if he got a vote or two.

And this is the game for him to get there

Don't be silly.  If anyone on the Eagles D is getting DMVP votes it's TJ Edwards.   He has lots of tackles.

Hmmm...

400+ yards on a top-five defense.  Would have been 500 yards if we hadn't turned the ball over.  With a backup QB on the third straight road game.

Dak may be the best healthy QB in the NFC right now.  Still needed a couple blown coverages and an amazing pass to Gallup on third-and-goal to beat us.

I am not concerned with the Saints in the Linc.

They may beat the Saints 44-10 and I wouldn't be totally shocked.  But, to be perfectly honest, I am scared about this game.  (and don't tell me to buy a dog, love them but don't have the time).

I expect a nail biter.

Minshew plus everyone else?  Yeah, we probably win comfortably.  Hurts plus the banged up lineup?  Yeah, we probably win comfortably.  Minshew at QB, Driscoll at RT (for however long that lasts), Scott at NCB, Wallace playing safety, probably light carries for Sanders......nope.....that's not going to be a very good team on Sunday.

I think it's going to be ugly.

Hurts is probably losing the locker room by not being a leader and stepping up in the most crucial time of the year...choosing to sit on the bench instead.
