What did everything think of San Fran yesterday? Purdy is lucky he didn’t throw at least 2 picks, maybe 3.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I’ve never heard of anything like it.  The Chargers also had the ball for 5 more minutes in ToP…really unreal.  Happy for Doug

the kid is good, we have to pressure him to beat them, and even then i dont know

I guess I should’ve stayed up and watched the "epic” comeback

IDK. Good game and all but Seattle’s defense is pretty bad.

Risk reward a bit out of whack on that.  $50 on the Jags then likely gets the same return.

I think he looked poised but Seattle blew a lot of coverages.

Chargers won the battle.

But the Jags won the war.

Jaguars.

SF was able to run the ball, and their receivers got wide open while Purdy had good protection… lollipop arm, but given it was his first playoff game the rookie did fine…

The 49ers is the team that stands on our way to SB.  They have play-makers in many areas.  Our guys have to play at a high level to beat them. Purdy is getting a lot of attention by the media, on his draft status and recent performance.  He is also a rookie, so he would have his limitations.  He is probably the weak link of that team.

On the other side, KC and Buffalo would be the teams to beat.  We shall see which of the AR tree branches would prevail and advance to the SB.  Siri has installed a system different from AR's coaching style.  If we face one of these 2 in SB, it won't be an AR battle.

Hopefully we get to San Fran in two weeks.  One game at a time for now.

Of the three only Dallas scares me but if it is them then so be it as it does feel like that score needs to be settled.

I went to bed too.  Oh well.

SF has won 11 in a row.

7 of those teams were under .500

3 were 1 game over at 9-8 including Seattle twice and Miami.

The other team was the Chargers.

I think SF is good but they aren't unbeatable.

I was like there is no way they’re coming back from this. I figured Lawrence would throw at least 2 more picks

I don't care who we get... I just want to be playing in two weeks.. preferably to win.

Gotta make a call at some point.  I feel well rested though, so... I win.

They are the only teams to win a playoff game this year.  The rest are bums.

Doug was a great coach for us, but the end of the 2019 and 2020 seasons showed he was out of new ideas for this team and needed to go.
He got to take a year off and recharge.
He injects more needed optimism & energy to a team needing it, + gets one of the 5 most talented QBs in the NFL.

Both sides won.

How many teams did they play during that stretch that had prolific offenses? They bullied inferior teams

Earlier in the year, KC dropped 44 on their defense. Brock Purdy isn’t preventing that. We have the tools to handle SF better than any NFC team

It is highly likely that is the best job that becomes available if they fire staley. However, I am not entirely sold that if the bills don’t make it to at least the AFC championship game that McDermott comes back. If they play the bengals in the divisional round and lose, I wouldn’t be completely surprised if they have a Tony Dungy to Gruden type of move. Because the difference between the bills getting over the hump might just be getting someone like Sean Payton. I would argue if the bills job did open up they are a better job than the chargers.

I’d be beyond stunned if they fired McDermott, especially after the leadership he showed after the Hamlin situation.

So analyzing the last 11 with Hurts ( 10 - 1 )

7 were .500 or below

3 were the 9-8 Steelers and 2 against the 9-7-1 Giants.

1 was the Cooper Rush Cowboys.

Opponent winning percentage

SF - 43.14

Phi - 39.41

Do you want me to base this research on total points or total yards ??

NYG/Vikes line has shrunk to -2.5.

Insanity. The public now believes the Giants are better than a 13-win team.

I don’t think he ran out of ideas. His offensive structure is pretty much the same as in Philly. Maybe his ideas were good but a lot of folks around him failed.

Things might have looked better if Scangarello wasn’t foisted upon him because Howie and Lurie didn’t like Press Taylor enough.

He tried to throw one more on the GW drive.
