If Hurts isnt careful he'll be a journeyman backup as well. Cant keep getting hurt in the most important times of the season.

Despite how much you hope that to be the case, Jalen Hurts is the Eagles franchise QB and will be here for a long time.

You used to say that about the last guy who kept getting hurt at the end of the season.

When are you going to tell us we don't deserve a QB like Jalen Hurts ??

Definitely some concern over this game, but I’d like to think that another week of prep and play with the starters we should see Minshew settle in some more.

But please don’t start comparing this guy to Nick Foles.

He needs to win one game against a bad team; he doesn't need to be Nick Foles.  But he's also going to have an inferior team behind him than Nick Foles did.

Well the team said its doubtful. He can be on the team for a long time but if its on the bench then what does it matter? He needs to step up as a leader.

Sorry you're not into the goods, Jalen.

One thing that the Cowboys game showed me was that I don’t think there is a big need to re-sign Sanders. Averaged only 3.1 yards on 21 carries. Would have much rather had a RBBC approach with the focal point being a bigger, more physical north/south runner.

Sanders is definitely better than I anticipated him being after watching him at PSU but definitely would not give him more than a 2 year team-friendly deal.

And he had seemed to have corrected his fumbling issue he had at PSU, but it reared its ugly head in a bad way last weekend.

Goes to show the effect Jalen has on the running game and how it opens it up for others when defenses are forced to account for him pulling the handoff back and running himself.  Yet you'll still have people around here to act as if Jalen has no impact on opening the running game up for the RBs.

How are Josh Jacobs, Derrick Henry and Nick Chubb the 3 top rushers in the league without Jalen Hurts and inferior offensive lines compared to the Eagles ??

We might.  I might.  It's a thing of beauty watching him glide downfield...not many players can do it the way he can.  I blame some of the lack of connections on Hurts, the offense itself, and the other good options.  But some of that probably falls on Quez for not being a more complete WR who consistently contributes at other levels of the field.

My biggest fear with eliminating Quez...there are some parallels between the 2017 and the 2022 WR corps.  Alshon/Agholor/Torrey Smith vs. Brown/Smith/Quez.  Yes, this 2022 group is better...but everyone had a damn high opinion of Alshon and Agholor this time back in 2017.  Alshon was still a complete stud then with a very similar playing style to Brown.  And Agholor, while comfortably behind Devonta Smith, was also a fairly similar player with nice quickness and routes.  That 2017 offense only took one year to become a quicksand offense that left defenses stacking the box on every play because they knew no one could get behind them.

I don't know that a prototypical #3 possession slot WR would be a good thing for this offense.

How many deep balls has he actually been targeted on and or caught?  I can think of maybe 3 over his 3 year career.  If that's what he's here for, use him that way.  If they want to use him the way they are, get someone better.  He's a deep threat and that's it.

He has two catches over 30 yards this year.
