Weird bunch of wildcard games this week.  Nobody has wanted to win any game it seems.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Nah.  Army-Navy... nothing to do with lack of confidence.  OSU-Michigan... Alabama-Auburn... It is usually about something like geography or familiarity, nothing to do with confidence.

You're point for sure, but my point, expressed in the Post has merit. Maybe Army/Navy not so much... but still...

We hate you because we can never beat you, you always win a Championship. we're left wanting, and on and on.

Go up against your Rival and consistently get spanked, confidence or geography...

He’s not a linebacker. Big for a safety, yes. He’s a one-of-a-kind special player. I’d take him over a rotational DT any day of the week.

I would have been fine drafting him given his talent, but given Gannon's system what position are you playing him? He's not playing 20 yards deep like Blakenship or Epps, so he'd either be an LB or replacing Avonte.

first and goal baltimore

This game reminds me of the 2005 steelers vs bengals. Bengals were favorite but an unfortunate injury to Palmer early gave steelers an easier win

Cincy could be in trouble tbh. If they go down 14-9 at the half, ravens get the ball to start the second half. Could potentially find themselves down 21-9

Gannon tweaked his defense to accommodate Reddick. He would’ve adapted for a 1st rounder like Hamilton.

Luckily they have Burrow, Chase, Higgins

But... teams that look like world beaters one week can turn into pumpkins the very next week... especially when they meet a team coming off a bye.

And if the Ravens win this game, I think it is 100% guaranteed that the Eagles-Giants are the Saturday Night game.  No way they make Buffalo-Baltimore the primetime game over the two major markets.

Davis was demoted from rotational DT.

Question for all the Dallas haters…

Would Vegas give the Eagles better NFCCG odds against Dallas/TB or SF?

Obviously the odds would be better if we didn’t have to face the Niners. That’s obvious. However, even so, I would rather face Purdy than Prescott. He’s gonna crash sooner than later.

Or... in the case of the Cowboys, it started that way... but now it's about being sick and tired of how the media fawns all over the frauds, and even worse dealing with the cockroach fans that come out of the woodwork every Fall.

Purdy can game manage them to the Super Bowl if his play drops off. That running game and defense is enough for them.

Rivalries are a lack of confidence. It's not the Heart, it's the Head.

Genders irrelevant. Respects to any females reading. :angel

Eliminate a rivalry? The job would be to do better than expected.. continually...That's the Blueprint.

Never been more serious on this board than right now..

Matt, you occasionally makes some statements in here that trigger me and require thought, which is your intention. It works.

I'm okay with that. I enjoy the challenge. Beats discussing Draft Scenarios that may not come to pass...or crying about missed picks.

This particular conversation seems to turn on our general "hate" for Dallas vs Giants, but you opened a door to a very deep hole.

Would you describe our current position as "In Control", Waiting to See" or " Just glad to be here"??

I don't care who shows up at the Linc, looks now like It'll be the Giants. Who cares? Rivalries. Do we have the Horses?

Are we good enough? I think we got these guys, and move on.

In the words of the Great Philosopher, Andy Reid, " Times Yours"...

I’ll focus on your one sentence "Eliminate a rivalry? The job would be to do better than expected.. continually...That's the Blueprint.”  While I agree with that sentiment for the players, I don’t agree with it for us fans.  Nothing we can do fits into your sentence.  We don’t have "a job.”  We can’t "do” much less "do better than expected.”  We are simply passengers on the bus. As a result your first sentence does not compute.

Don’t even get my started. I hated the pick from day 1. Hope he proves me wrong.

Go bengals

Honestly... looking at the depth on the DL for this game, Davis might actually be deactivated.

Hargrave, Cox, Joseph, Suh
Sweat, Reddick, Graham...

It comes down to Quinn or Davis in my book, because I don't see 9 DL being active.  And since Graham can swing inside if needed... they don't need another NT.

I don't think that would work against the chiefs. But any of the other teams maybe

Has Quinn shown little or nothing, I've forgotten?

The "beating the same team 3 times in one season” is a baseless narrative. If you beat a team twice, if anything it shows you’re the better team. That doesn’t mean you can’t lose the third time. You can lose to anyone in the playoffs if you play a bad game. But to make that the basis of concern is illogical. It should be the other way. The Giants need to prove they can beat us.

Yea. I can’t say this talking point holds any water. There’s no advantage to losing twice vs winning twice. Both teams gets equal amount of information and looks. If a team doesn’t win the third game it’s just because that’s football.

Forgetting Williams in there too.

This Post gets my Highest Marks.

Jerrah, if nothing else, is one Hell of a Marketer...

nice stand by the Bengals defense

Extremely little, but he's back from injury now.  Maybe the time off helped him get his legs back (He's no spring chicken).

Has Davis shown more?  And does his contribution as the 5th DT exceed what might be possible to get from Quinn as the 4th DE?

I'm not saying that Davis definitely will be deactivated, but I don't see 9 DL... so someone is definitely the odd man out.

The Reagor over Jefferson pick set the franchise back an entire year.
The Davis/Hamilton decision is unlikely to do so, in either direction.

I did.   That makes 10 DL.   🤦‍♂️.  Definitely not going to be 10.  Williams has to suit up.

It didn't start with him though.  It started with Tex Schramm who actually had a clue.
