Here is a comparison of Dak against the Eagles, and against the Titans who did not play multiple starters on defense.

I agree we should hammer the Saints with Minshew, but.....no way.

Hes thrown a pick in 174 straight games.  Fact

Back to how our conversation started.

Are you not saying Minshew has thrown a pick in 174 straight games ??

My initial reply was to this statement saying exactly that.

Playing outdoors in the rain vs. playing in a dome is exactly the same, apparently.

I think many of you are severely underestimating that this is our first home game in a while. Teams playing 3 straight road games have below 400 winning percentages. It's really hard to be on the road that long and maintain focus, treatments, high level of play, etc. The offense won't have to deal with crowd noise/we get to take advantage of crowd noise.

It's just been a while since we've had that.

"Many” being like 2.5

Sixers in a good matchup right now against the Pelicans who have the NBA's best record.  Embiid vs Zion.  Sixers down 7 points at half.  Embiid has 20 points though and went on a run at the end of the half to bring the game closer.

Lebron bout to drop a 40 pt triple double on his 38th birthday

Alright, what's streamable out there?

Glass Onion.  Saw it.  Fun.

Avatar...no.

Top Gun...saw it, best movie ever.

Babylon.  No, not watching another movie about Hollywood from the same Hollywood clique that did a movie about Hollywood 2 years ago.

Violent Night...maybe.

Everything everywhere all at once....I've already got a splitting headache.  This may be best for after the fever breaks.

Need  help here.

Do they have to be new? If not, here are some of my favorites.

Prisoners

Hunt for the Wilderpeople

Looper

Insomnia

Nightcrawler

Police Story

A Prayer Before Dawn

1917

Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang

In Bruges

I have seen a QB complete a pass to himself because its tipped by a lineman and bounces back to the QB. Of course. But I have never seen a QB actually try to complete a pass to himself. Hurts seems like the type of guy to give it a try. I would love to see it on a play from say the 2 yard line where he is about to run it in. If the play works so well he has room to run. Id love to see him lob it up from the 2 yard line in to the end zone and catch it. He might be enough of a me guy to try it.

First of all, consider the audience.  36 (I think, fever has me thinking it might be 35 or 37) with the taste of a 15 year old.  I don't have one genre, like certain movies from everything.  Comedies would probably hurt too much to laugh and my ability to push through physical pain would make Sidney Jones look like a tough guy.  Nothing sad or too dramatically investing right now...light and/or action.

Drive

Baby Driver

both are good for what you described

Old Henry

I think it's on a few different streaming platforms but at the very least you can rent it on Amazon Prime.  Western styled movie that takes place in 1906 focused on a widowed man named Henry living on his land/farm with his son and stuff happens.  I wouldn't read much about it and definitely wouldn't watch the trailer as it gives the whole movie away but it is an excellent movie.  Hidden gem that I hadn't heard of until I saw it a month ago.  Came out in 2021.

Another interesting under the radar movie is Red Rocket which is on Showtime.  About a former male porn star that has nothing and moves back in with his ex wife in a really poor part of Texas.  It's the type of movie where everyone in it is a dirtbag on some level.   It was an entertaining worthwhile watch though.

Watched that. Red Rocket is a study of a Loser trying to keep on losing.

Sorry. semi decent flick mostly, but a terrible premise and a Meathead is the Protagonist, not likeable from the jump.

Would you want that dude hanging around your front door?

I'd shoot him, bury the body in the side yard..Done...:smoke:

I don't think he is meant to be the protagonist.  I don't think there is supposed to be any protagonist.  It's like Eastbound & Down only in the sense that there is no protagonist and everyone involved in the story is just the bottom rung of society.

Best series I’ve watched over the past few years is Detectorists, followed closely by Fauda. The former is comedic. The latter is dramatic. They are both excellent.

Tar is my favorite movie of the year but it's a slower burn type of movie. It's available, but I think only for $20 rental, not on any free streaming services.

The Northman is pretty good if you like mythology, cinematography, and story. Also more of a slower burn.

Banshees of Inisherin is good, but definitely a taste specific movie. Not going to be for everyone.

Maybe Prey? The best Predator movie probably since the original. I didn't think it was great, but thought it was solid.

If you like horror, you can check out Barbarian. An interesting twist on the horror genre.

All depends on your tastes,

bacarty get banned?

What’re you drinking tonight? I need to go out and get some of that. Seems like good stuff.

yeah, I got it.

A movie about a loser, surrounded by losers, who returns home on his ass, asking his loser family to help him lose some more.

When that didn't work, he asks his old loser friends to help but they are all no accounts as well.

Great premise. Solid screenplay.

Sorry I wasted the time...

Not sure your thoughts on Christmas movies but since we're ending the season up.

The Christmas Story Christmas on HBOMax was really well done and pretty funny.  Also on HBOMax, I really liked 8-Bit Christmas.  Does a great job relating to growing up in the 80s and wanting a Nintendo.

I went to see Devotion in the theaters and came away pretty unimpressed.  As an aviation nerd, a lot of the talk was it was the same cinematography that was used for TG Maverick and they used quite a few real warbirds but it just lacked energy and real emotion.  The story is a good one but they did a really poor job with any sort of character building and whatnot.  For an aviation movie, there isn't a ton of action and when it was over I couldn't even tell you the names of any of the characters.  I wanted to like it but it was just so meh.

Vols have Joe Milton at QB tonight.  If you haven’t seen him throw, my god what an arm.  He’s the Ricky Vaughn of college football.   All power but has no touch.  But man he can sling it.  Of course his top WR (Hyatt) is out because that’s what these kids do nowadays.   He still has McCoy and Tillman.  Also, watch little Squirrel White.  Fun player.

Their defense is still suspect.

Squirrel is definitely fun to watch and yea, Milton has a damn cannon.

I'm trying to figure out what makes Will Shipley good.
