Whatever happens will be over-discussed.

If the Bucs lose then Brady will be gone; he's gone from the Bucs after this season, regardless.  Hopefully he retires -- if he moves on to Las Vegas they're still no better than the third best team in that division.  No chance he goes to the Niners; they have a really good set up with a Purdy/Lance competition in training camp.

As far as the Turds go, a loss could mean McCarthy gets fired and Quinn gets promoted to head coach.  I wouldn't expect much else to change.  They're married to Dak for a couple more years.

So the conditional 2024 4th for Reagor what were the stipulations on that deal?

Really ??  Do you think he met any stipulations, regardless of what they were ??

8 catches for 104 yards and a TD

4 carries for 25 yards.

to be fair I agree- And I think San Fran is a good team, but they had an easier schedule than most.

The best teams they beat were the Seahawks, Bucs and Dolphins.....

Oh no you said easy schedule

Wife hates it. She's a Cowboy fan and we both get up at 5 am. So she gets to pick between missing her playoff game or being extremely run down at work the next day. It's complete garbage. People work. Nobody wants to stay up until midnight on Mondays.

The older I've gotten the more I hate SNF and MNF. It's great right now since I'm on the west coast, and it'll be even better when i get to hawaii but when I was east coast it was just miserable. It's not prime time for football, it's prime time for 1 hour television shows. No one wants to stay up until midnight, we do it because we're masochists

They have definitely given Gannon something to think about with the Daniel Jones running yesterday.

The Giants were working the underneath crossing patterns all day, just waiting for the zone to retreat upfield.  Why run the ball, when you can get an easy 5+ every 1st down?  Now Gannon doesn't have to play along, but if he does the pass rush here is much better than MIN so it possible at some point we get a sack and disrupt the 12 play/75 yard drive formula.

Daniel Jones can run which can be problem, as Cover 4 (base coverage) is almost as bad as man against scrambles since the coverage gets sucked upfield.  Also, on the few times that MIN blitzed NYG seemed to have the right call on to beat it.  I think situationally, MIN was tipping it's hand by only blitzing in the RZ or the odd long situation when they felt safer.  Playing safe with mediorce talent ain't much of a plan, more like hoping the other guy can't execute.

Looking ahead a bit- providing we beat the Giants- (which will be tougher than some think) and provided Dallas beats Tampa tonight-

who would you rather play the following week. San Fran or Dallas?

Who is picking Dallas after they waxed us 3 weeks ago? Idc that Hurts didn't play the offense wasn't the issue in that game. I don't want to play division rivals 2 weeks in a row, and I definitely don't want Dallas heading to the Super Bowl  by beating us

My goals for any NFL season are:
1. Eagles win

2. Dallas loses

3. I don't care what happens

I'm never going to root for the Cowboys to advance in any playoff game. If that means losing to the 49ers then so be it. I never want them to get close to another Super Bowl as long as I live.

Easier.(than us).. not easy.

It'll be funny when Young and Stroud get drafted into the AFC. Maybe Houston and Indy. Sorry, AFC, we don't draft first round quarterbacks over here in the NFC.

Yup. After "Fly Eagles Fly" and "Go Birds" the official third team slogan is "F Dallas". So F em.

lol. It's not because I can't stay up... it's because Saturday is usually when I go out.

Yeah go out and watch the game. It’ll be over by 11. Then you can look for random non-binaries to make out with. I’ll give you @olsilverhair’s number

I'm officially worried about this game now.

Paul Jolovitz who does shows on WIP picked the Eagles to win. He's the ultimate jinx. I've known people who've worked at the station over the years and a running inside joke around the station is every major prediction he makes always goes the opposite way. It's seriously like clockwork it's so wild. I remember even out of sports, I was talking to someone who worked at the station back in 2016 and he guaranteed Hillary would win the election and they facetiously blamed Trump winning on Jolovitz.

Anyway, his latest example of his curse:

And then last night

If the Eagles lose we know who's to blame.

Such lazy, uninspired marketing.

Last year was a vanilla year for the defense.  This year, they added Bradberry, CJGJ, and Reddick.  Bradberry and CJGJ may have been studs this year, but let's not forget that they weren't exactly hard to get.  We got more out of them here than elsewhere.  That even applies to Reddick, who had the best year of his career.  They also added White, but he's not even that good.

The defense had a lot of personnel turnover from last year, and the additions were all better here than they ever have been elsewhere.

Gannon has done a good job.

Matchups seem a lot easier to control on TV than they are in reality.  You're sometimes going to get caught with your pants down having your crappy slot CB covering a #1 WR on a crossing route from the slot.  It happens.  It doesn't mean the DC is an idiot.

The excess zone coverage at the end there was stupid, but I do think they were intentionally getting cute and vanilla.

Bradberry and CJGJ being available for relatively cheap last season isn't a predicter that the same caliber players will be available next season.  Otherwise why didn't they add them in 2021 instead of relying on Nelson/McPherson and Anthony Harris.  White has been up and down but still an upgrade over Singleton.  I do think LB can be upgraded through shorter term deals and draft picks.  I am concerned that Gannon does not play his younger talent and that impacts the ability to replace JAG vets with possible better younger talent.

While I agree that teams have defensive lapses and coverage failures that are not avoidable.  The problem isn't that as much as QBs completing 80+% of their passes against the defense.  That kind of completion percentage speaks to either big holes in zone coverage that shouldn't be there or predictable coverages that are easy to disect.  I think it's a combination of both when the defense looks bad.

No I really just wanted to see what the expectations were for that deal.  But thanks for being so nice about it 🙂

I could look it up, but I know he did not meet any expectations, so no need.

Edited : I looked, no one says what the statistical conditions are, but I guarantee he did not meet them.

I don't really care about NCAA FB, so it means nothing to me if they ruin it; but they better tread carefully with this NIL stuff.

Where did you go to college?

The best thing about the Giants winning, is they get a short week having to play on Saturday, and the 9ers / Bucs / Cowboys get 1 less day before the NFCCG and have to travel.

He won't be BPA, but I could absolutely see the Cards go OT at 3. Their OL is terrible and Broderick Jones has prototype size/athleticism for the position. Are they going to punt on OL again with a QB off a torn ACL?

I'm not sold on the top tackles this year. I'm not seeing any Sewells or guys like that
