Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Any word on Maddox? When he got injured, it sounded like he'd be out for a while.

Sounds like we'll be lucky to even see him in the Super Bowl if we make it that far

Such lazy, uninspired marketing.

The Giants are not the team you rush Maddox back for. I'd be thrilled if they want to play more 11 personnel.

Next week IMO was always the earliest he could return, but it's likely SB or bust.

The best thing about the Giants winning, is they get a short week having to play on Saturday, and the 9ers / Bucs / Cowboys get 1 less day before the NFCCG and have to travel.

Add to that, the Bucs/Dallas winner not only has one less day, but the Niners get a two day advantage since they played Saturday.

If the Bucs lose then Brady will be gone; he's gone from the Bucs after this season, regardless.  Hopefully he retires -- if he moves on to Las Vegas they're still no better than the third best team in that division.  No chance he goes to the Niners; they have a really good set up with a Purdy/Lance competition in training camp.

As far as the Turds go, a loss could mean McCarthy gets fired and Quinn gets promoted to head coach.  I wouldn't expect much else to change.  They're married to Dak for a couple more years.

Dallas Head Coach has to Bow before Jerrah and Steven. Is that something you think Quinn would do?

The Carousel has lots of Candidates but the Cowgirls job comes with serious restrictions.

Parcell's old remark about buying the groceries comes to mind. May be a Deal-breaker for many prospects...

Let's be honest...that's a requirement here too.  The Eagles just try to swipe that under the rug, whereas it's out in the open in Dallas.

Just pencil Anderson or Carter at 5.

The Seahawks getting Will Anderson would suck.

Payton has always been rumored to go to Dallas but I don’t know how much of an upgrade he’d be over McCarthy. The two of those guys feels like the same coach to me when you compare McCarthy in GB and Payton in NO. Both won a SB with two of the best QBs of their generation over 10 years ago and never really did much after that. I think you can categorize them both as good coaches, but have underachieved for the past ten years.

I don't think Brady is going to leave the Bucs. The dude is 45. Even if they lose tonight, you gotta think once he takes time to cool off, is the dude going to want to move to the other side of the country at that age, learn a new locker room, new organization, etc.

Tampa has great weather, still have some good talent when they get healthy OL back. I think he's just gonna end up staying. After all, Florida is where geezers go to retire.

I feel bad for Chargers' fans.  I wonder if the ownership will make Staley apologize to Bosa for picking up his helmet and giving back to him when Mr. Bosa didn't want it back.

I’m thinking of position groups that we could conceivably borrow from in order to dress all the defensive linemen that we’d like to have, and I’m thinking about linebacker and tight end. I’m not sure it’s essential that we activate both of our sixth round picks, Kyron Johnson and Grant Calcaterra. Sure it’d probably be nice to be able to employ three tight sets on occasion, but couldn’t Cam Jurgens fill that third spot a few times instead? And Johnson never plays defense anyway. I could also make a case for Josh Jobe.

Just wondering aloud. My mind drifts to Eagles football almost constantly, especially at a time like this.

No better time than now...

Three TE sets should be available at all times. Especially when one of them is Goedert...

Cal can play...Edge of my seat waiting to see the activated roster...

I'd rather hire an OC or DC to be HC than hire Payton

I can't see Payton going to the NFL team that would offer him the least amount of control.  I also don't see Jerry really wanting a HC that would get more credit than him for any success

Thought I just read his boot came off a day or two ago. Wouldn't bet the farm on his suiting up, from where I sit...

Course, his Docs keep forgetting to update me..

Dallas is saddled with a good but not great QB and a good but not great roster.  They are going to be a good team that gets to the playoffs, sometimes flames out, sometimes wins a game (or two)...but they don't have the horses to compete for more.  Their current roster has far too much inertia to get the next step.

Dallas has so much top-end talent that they can beat anyone, including the Chiefs, on any given day. However, they have so many deficiencies that even weaker teams can exploit. That's the danger of top-heavy rosters and why Dallas never gets over the hump. They need all their stars to play well at the same time.

Why exactly? We’re not getting him, so why would it matter which other team selects him? Why would we care if it’s the Seahawks?

Mid to late first round pick for him makes no sense to me 🤷‍♂️
