Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

that's why I keep coming back to the blog, you just can't find hot takes like those anywhere else

Dude, is your sarcasm detector broken ?????????????????

Your sarcasm identification switch is turned off.

It's simply amazing how some guys just sit over their keyboard looking to find conflict and then leap.

@GoEagles5921 you need to relax a little. It'll be better in the long run.

This guy seems to think he has a handle on me. Only ever seen him respond to me in the negative. Wonder why?

In fairness, I think he was enjoying the humor of the moment, seemed that way...

However, I could be wrong, @GoEagles5921 says I'm never right about anything, so...

I said "hot takes like those" because I'm agreeing with lean mean's mockery of the comment he quoted.

Incredible. 5 or less = good. 6-10 is a little early, but fine. 11+ = absurd

Orders of magnitude less here than in Dallas.  I suspect that Philadelphia has less owner meddling/direction than over half the NFL franchises. Possibly less tha three quarters of them.

Eeeh, I think Lurie meddles a ton.  Of course, I don’t follow other teams and wouldn’t argue against your point about the other half.

Whats the point of owning an nfl team if not to meddle?  I’d do it.

Involved is not Meddling.

Yikes.

How do you not emphasize this at halftime?

Relax it only adds up to 2:06 extra time they could have run off... It's not like the game came down to a last minute play or anything 🙂

Same mistake as the falcons in the super bowl. So dumb.

Successful Business Model.

Hire Professionals, give em direction and get out of the way. Monitor, don't meddle.

I'll grant owning an NFL Team is like the Ultimate Shiny Toy and it's hard not to play with it.

It appears, from afar, that most resist involvement in the nuts and bolts.

These Billionaire Owners are not stupid or they wouldn't be here but some are insufferable.

Yep, Chargers final punt came at 2:16.  If they had snapped the ball at 3 seconds every time, that punt would have come at 45 seconds.

Have to say, the announcement of the Ref lineup for Eagles Kill Giants in here really went sideways.

I'm still laughing...

Ever have that moment where you've done 3 days worth of tedious work (using a Unix date/time code hundreds if times), only to discover that you have the year wrong and now have to go fix each and everyone of them or start ALLLLL over?

Dallas has so much top-end talent that they can beat anyone, including the Chiefs, on any given day. However, they have so many deficiencies that even weaker teams can exploit. That's the danger of top-heavy rosters and why Dallas never gets over the hump. They need all their stars to play well at the same time.

I don‘t think that‘s it.

They hire guys on talent alone, no matter if they are idiots, a-holes or psychos. So they never are a team. They are a bunch of individuals led by a mediocre QB and coached by a clown. Good enough to win games but not good enough to ever get anywhere.

Meddling/involved, tomato/tomato.  Lurie would be proud of that response.

Im not criticizing.  If I owned the team, the draft room would be myself and 10 computer monitors with Howie for the press conference.  I get it.

And the owners never start out stupid.  Jerry Jones was smart once.  Even Dan Snyder.  Age and narcissism erode that.  Natural life cycle.

Broncos missed out on harbaugh. Wonder if they land Quinn now or up their pursuit of Payton.

Bless your everlovin heart, VBE. Your work does not go unnoticed...

Have a JWB and begin again. :showoff:

I know how you guys love these silly stats, especially if you are a Hurts Squirt.

May be an image of 2 people, people playing football and text that says 'QBS WITH 300+ PASSING YARDS, 2+ PASSING TDS AND 75+ RUSHING YARDS IN A POSTSEASON GAME: -DANIEL JONES THAT'S IT. THATS THE LIST. ny 8 OCDSSPORTS SPORTS'

It's the boss' job to ask questions, determine who is accountable for decisions, set out clear expectations.

You don't want an owner telling his subordinates what to do (micro-managing), nor do you want an absentee owner.

Lurie is a top 10 owner.
