Best records should get it, not division winners. It's absurd a 7 win team could get in over a 10 win team conceivably.

Not a fan of the extra playoff spots. The top two seeds in each conference deserve to have a bye.

The Bucs didn’t deserve to make it and there is no team sitting at home that did.  That’s a sign the playoff field is too big.

Cowboys won the coaching matchup on both sides of the ball. Won't be as easy next week against Shanahan/Ryans.

Or at least if you still want the division winners in, let it be an automatic berth but re seed for record to start the playoffs.

It worked out for us this year, but the regular season is so devalued.  1 team gets the coveted bye and everyone else that isn’t tanking makes the playoffs.

That means there’s 17 games that don’t do a whole lot of meaningful separating.

2 byes up for grabs and fewer playoff spots…the games matter more.

If they’re hell bent on having a seventh playoff team, have the 6/7 play for the right to face the 1 seed. Then the second seed still gets a bye.

And it’s a foregone conclusion that SF will pop it.  But we need Dallas to rough them up first.  A tough, physical game meaningfully helps the Eagles over a walk in the park.
