I’d say hurts yards per attempt is significantly higher. It’s 8 yards per attempt. Jones is down at 6.8. It’s significant cause i think jones is using a lot more check downs and short-intermediate passes. Whereas before the shoulder injury hurts and the eagles threw the ball down the field at a higher percentage than the giants. Why jones % is as high as it is.

Yes Hurts was better, no question. But to dismiss Jones as trash is foolish. He had a good year, and less than half the supporting cast Hurts had

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Hurts could go 14-1 as a starter, make the Pro-Bowl, make 2nd team All-Pro, win the division, get a 1st round bye and then maybe people would stop hating on him…….oh wait. 👀

Oh? Show me where I’m hating on Hurts? Hurts had a great year, and Jones had a pretty good year.

Hurts has 500 yards more passing in one less game and 8 more passing TDs.  I don't think those are comparable.  There's a lot that can be said for the talent discrepancy at receiver.

Here are the sacks.

(164) Cam Jordan Record-Setting Sacks vs Eagles | New Orleans Saints - YouTube

One sack was when Jordan was intentionally left unblocked.

Another sack was on a bad exchange between Seumalo and Driscoll on a stunt.

There was one where he got overpowered, but Jordan has been doing that to DEs for years.

Notice that he was left on an island against one of the most dominant DEs in the league. That says something about how the team feels about him.

Funny, people were downplaying Mahomes as MVP earlier in December, yet he finished with….1500 more passing yards than Hurts. I guess it’s a one way street.

People thought Hurts would catch up and pass Mahomes. Still an accomplishment to even be in the discussions with that alien

I think he’s a solid starting Qb. Which is a lot for me to say cause i didn’t like him coming out. I thought he was a poor man’s Eli manning but with more ability to run. Daboll deserved a ton of credit for getting him to cut back on his turnovers, play within himself and to his strengths. The Giants try to do short/intermediate pass game and him running because they don’t have the talent necessary around him to have success with big plays down the field. Big plays. Jones seems to get himself into more trouble with fumbling when they try to throw the ball deep down the field. Because he tends to hold onto it for a little too long, and then has some traits where he gets careless with the ball. He’s gotten better over the years with his fumbling issue.

But the Giants have done a really good job making sure he either just takes off immediately or he gets the ball out quick so he doesn’t have that problem when the pass rush gets to him. If he has to hold onto that ball in this game and the eagles don’t allow him just to throw pitch and catch the short/intermediate passes there’s a good chance he as a fumble or two in this game.

Who was downplaying Mahomes as MVP?  He's been (at the very least) mentioned as one of the top 2-3 candidates for MVP  in almost every conversation/topic I've seen on the subject.

Costco is crap and still better than Pizza Hut. Doing that in Philly is like getting Olive Garden in Sicily

Nick has spent the better part of his career in flyover states and out west. Never had the best of pickings there but no excuse not to hit up Angelo's or Pizzata, especially for pizza hut 🤢

Take a wander into the Hurts thread from early December

Yep, agreed. Jones isn’t the human trash bin he used to be. And his last two games he’s put up:

19/24 177 yds 2TDs, with 11 rushes for 91 yds and 2 TDs

24/35 301 yds, 2 TDs, 17 rushes for 78 yds

Those are pretty Hurts-esque stat lines.

Jones has less interceptions with more passing attempts.

Daniel Jones needs to get a cleanup. His neck hair that is a bridge to his back hair is distracting.

Yikes. Any tanking that doesn’t have little Caesar’s last is a bad ranking.

I thought the MVP race was super close before hurts hurt his shoulder. I thought hurts was slightly in the lead just because the Eagles had one loss and they were playing as well as they were. But Patrick Mahomes’s number are absolutely insane, especially when you consider he lost Tyreek Hill in the off-season. And they replaced them with juju Smith-Schuster who’s a good wide receiver, but he’s not Tyreek Hill. Frankly, when you look at the chiefs, wide receivers (kelce is tight end just talking about WR position) juju is the only reliable wide receiver they have. Toney is always hurt and barley played. Hardman is hurt. MVS is super inconsistent even when he was with rodgers in Gb.

this isn’t a slight to hurts. Because if he didn’t get hurt, I still think he would’ve won as long as he didn’t implode in Dallas game. I think he probably finishes second after not playing for two weeks and then week 18 the eagles were just trying to get through the game. But go look at the chiefs offense versus the Eagles offense. Take the two quarterbacks out of this. Just look at the other 10 starters. I would argue only two definitive players where you would take a chiefs starter over the Eagles starter (thuney and Travis kelce— kelce vs. creed imo is a push). So basically 8 out of 10 the eagles have equal or better starter than the chiefs. Add on i don’t think the chiefs run game is nearly as reliable as the eagles. so mahomes gets more chances to throw for bigger numbers. But also if he’s not great or even good, i don’t see their running game and defense saving them as often.

I find papa johns to be awful. At least LC had that bacon wrapped monstrosity not long ago.

If you go into the analytics, the Chiefs offense this year was just insane. And that was after they lost Hill. It’s crazy the year Mahomes put up.

If we're just talking stuffed crust pizza, then Pizza Hut is definitely better than Papa John's.

I’d go

1. Dominos

2. Papa johns

3. pizza hut

4. Little Caesar’s

tbh i think hungry howie’s which is a pretty big chain is better than all 4

Or is it TorontoEagle-level qb analysis?

Also nice trolling coordination by HazeltonEagle and TorontoEagle. Where's 4for4 to complete the party? Oh, wait...

It’s been awhile since I tried their stuffed crust, when it barely had any cheese in it at all. Papa John’s loads that mug up.

Pizza Hut stuffed crust is the food of Gods. I’m amazed we mortals were able to even try it.

(Of course, real pizza is far better than the chains, but man…that stuffed crust is next level)
