Massive Goedert game should happen.

Seems like would be a good time to go lots of 2 TE and run the ball.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Yup.

I think my gameplan is no-huddle, up-tempo running the ball. They have a talented, but not deep, front. Keep them in the field at a high-pace to wear them down. This also keeps them in base, so we can run.

The only downside to this approach is that it's not the more explosive type of offense, so we'd get more punts. It would require the D not giving up points early.

Even if purdy is Mr irrelevant it's a slap in his face to put all qbs up then have Christian McCaffrey, I mean why not deebo Samuel or nick bosa at least!

I think you guys are reading into this a little too much. They probably just went with the most popular and recognizable player on each team. For the SF and NYG, that happens to be their RBs.

Not everyone is smiling?

Dak and Saquon got a serious look on their face.  Same with Burrow and Mahomes.

Eagles ran up 48 points on the Giants without Goedert in the lineup.  Just line up and play as they did over the first 15 weeks and the Giants have very little chance.  This game will only be in doubt late if the Eagles turn the ball over or allow cheap points like a return TD or blocked punt.

I was listening to NFL Radio and they were trying to assert the Giants were dangerous because of how the Week 18 game played out.  That game was 19-3 in the 4th quarter until the Eagles got bored, and 22-9 late until Slay misplayed a ball to Golladay.  The game really wasn't in doubt at any point, beyond recovery of an onside kick.

You would think the Jags would have Hasty representing them.

Either that or would force eagles to sustain long time consuming scoring drives, which they've shown they can do as well.

The key will be getting tds Instead of FGs which the eagles have also shown to be  adept at.

If Siri and Steichen come out in 4 and 5 wide sets tossing the ball all over the yard I may lose my voice ...

They were lazy and didn't align the players to their opponent in the picture.

Maybe those guys all rank #1 in jersey sales for their teams ??

I heard somewhere Eagles are second to last defending against mobile QBs but I have no idea what stat they are using.

So when the Giants won I looked back at this.  We really havent faced many "mobile" QBs this year.

Of course the Eagles shut down Jones in the first matchup.

They handled Kyler Murray pretty well, the offense just couldn't get going that game.

They were "OK" vs. Fields and the Bears.  Held them down in cold weather until they made a push at the very end to make it close.  Eagles were sloppy that game and handed the Bears some points.

So my conclusion was that there isn't a ton of good data out there, at least not enough to draw any conclusions. Especially because we literally played Jones already this year, so I thought it would be a better analysis just to look at how they did in that game.

Yeah, but the Giants backups "almost won the game!" Or so I've been told.

We could do a lot worse, as evidenced by what we all see anytime Gainwell gets some snaps. Hope the FO realizes how important Miles is to this offense and is able to work something out to keep him.

I think it was EPA per the play or something. I thought it was a weird stat too because the only thing I remember is one big rush play with Fields.

I’ve been a proponent of bringing him back.  Some fans seem to forget the reason we drafted him in the 2nd round.  He’s a legitimate #1 RB, something we haven’t had since LeSean McCoy.

That said, the free agent RB class seems to be competitive, so it might not be as "expensive” as some think.  (To bring him back).

49ers are overrated.  Best teams they beat this season were the Chargers and Seahawks, both of whom went one and done.  Only team with a winning record they faced that wasn't a team floating just above 500 was the Chiefs who blew them out.

Cowboys should have a good chance to upset them.

I think the 49ers should like how their defensive line matches up with the Cowboys.  The 49ers should also be able to run the ball but it's not like Quinn isn't familiar with Shanahan.  It probably comes down to whether Dak turns over the ball or not.

I think the eagles win but that 48 point game the giants also didn’t have Leonard Williams, adoree jackson and McKinney playing either. As long as we don’t turn the ball over and can blitz pick up better than they have they should be able to move the ball and win this game.

There are currently 8 RBs who will carry a cap hit of $12M or more for next season.  This will be a question of who can you afford to pay and who do you have to let go?  Hurts comes up for a massive extension in 2024 and that will force tougher decisions.  Who would be more difficult to replace -- Hurts, AJ Brown, Smith, or Sanders?  I'm not sure the Eagles view any starting RB as a nucleus player.

The Eagles RBBC looks awfully uninspiring without Sanders next season, no question.  It will be interesting to see what his price is.

Boston Scott & Miles Sanders are FA. This is a deep RB class. We're going to draft one in the mid-rounds. Hope it's someone with size instead of speed, but Howie is going to pick speed.

I don't think it makes sense in today's NFL to give big money to RBs.

Esipecially ones that are as useless as Sanders is as a receiver

I expect the eagles will draft a RB so where between rounds 2-5 and let Sanders walk.

I really like Miles Sanders and he's played really well this year but I just can't see justifying paying a RB big money in today's NFl
