I love seumalo more than most on here but i think there’s a higher chance he’s gone. My thoughts the eagles likely believe stoutland can identify a guy in the draft in the 2-3rd round and have him playing well as a rookie. Plus save the money to out towards another position.

Interesting question, hypothetically bradberry costs the same as seumalo and sanders who do you want back? I think all 3 likely have 3 high quality years left in them (seumalo as a guard might have more). I prefer bradberry just cause i think the way the league is set up now having good to great corners is a huge advantage. I think stoutland is a great oline coach and we could find a good replacement for seumalo even though i hate losing seumalo. I also think sanders as a running back the positional value hurts him. Also seumalo and sanders have been banged up in the past so that also factors in.

Crazy idea.  Nate Herbig will be 25 next year.  I'd be more than happy bringing him back at RG on an avg starters salary.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

CMC

678 yards before contact, avg 2.8 per attempt

Kamara

448 for 2.0 avg

What this stat shows is how good the o line is. Sanders gets almost a full yard on some of the top RBs because of how good our o line is

Yah except Mike, in all his West Virginia wisdom, quoted the yards after contact stat. What this discussion shows is that people from West Virginia are indeed barely literate.

I can't believe the Cowboys are sticking with a guy that's missed 5 XP's in a row. It's going to be hilarious when it costs them a game.

I just don't think its a good allocation of resources to pay a RB a 2nd contract. I don't care who it is.

I was actually looking into the Niners Cowboys game, the difference to me in this game is likely going to be the pass rush of the Niners against the Cowboys offensive line. I think the Cowboys offensive line is OK. But they’re not nearly as good as they could’ve been or in the past. if they didn’t allocate significant money in zeke’s second contract and put it into oline they’d have been better off. I think they be a better match up against the 49ers with pollard being the starter with another lesser priced back and a better oline. I think the thing that’s gonna lose it for dallas is the offensive line.

Have to also remember. Dickerson is up for an extension at the end of the 2023 season. I can’t see them paying seumalo and Dickerson the type of money they are going to command.

Well, the way your question is phrased, I'd prefer Bradberry. But the corner market is going to be a lot steeper than the guard market or the running back market so it's not really an apples to apples kind of comparison.

He's not missing anything against the Eagles if we play them. I can guarantee you that. He'll be nailing 55-yarders against the wind with his eyes closed and one hand tied behind his back.

Time for a blog definition on mid round pick?

There are 7 f'n rounds.  1-2 is top, 6-7 are bottom, 3-4-5 are mid.

Why i gave the hypothetical the way i did.

I still think Seumalo is likely gone. I’d prefer he came back. I think that’s because the Eagles believe stoutland  can identify somebody in the draft and get him ready to play by week one which would save them money to go put in other positions and they’d be comfortable due to stoutland’s ability.

Sanders to me comes down they likely have a range they are willing to go and I’m guessing it’s not as high as sanders feels like he deserves. I have a feeling Sanders after this year he’s going to ask for more than they think he’s worth due to his injuries in the past and positional value

I like herbig but not sure he's mobile enough to do what the eagles like to do with their OL.

He's good in a pinch but he's limited as an athlete.

Dude it was Toronto Eagles stat, I was just going with it for the purposes of this discussion.   Go complain to him for bringing up YAC.

I agree it doesnt show exactly what we are talking about, but Im not an analytics guy so I wouldn't even know how to search for the stat Im thinking of.

@ManuManu youre an analytics guru, do you know what Im talking about?  I think you posted it a while ago.  It was like "Expected Yards vs. Yards Gained" or something like that

I think it was rushing yards over expectation or something like that. I don’t recall exactly.

IIRC, it said Sanders fit what was blocked it a little less. That might have been last year though.

Sorry I couldn’t be more help.

Youre just a total moron, arent you?

Toronto provided you yards before contact.  I provided yards after contact.  This gives you the full picture of how many yards hes getting from blocking vs how many yards hes creating on his own.

You seriously cant track a conversation for ish.  You have conversational ADD, you can never stay on track

He had a bunch of drops in year 2 and they pretty much stopped throwing to him.

Yeah you tried.  Its your fault for posting YAC and confusing WGB and getting him all butthurt again.

Yes, his catch percentage dropped from 79.4 as a rookie to 53.8.

The last two years his catch percentage is 76.5 and 76.9.
