I think it was rushing yards over expectation or something like that. I don’t recall exactly.

IIRC, it said Sanders fit what was blocked it a little less. That might have been last year though.

Sorry I couldn’t be more help.

You're good, I appreciate it

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I have my doubts Sanders will be back because I think Howie makes him an offer, Sanders gets insulted, and another team will pay him more than the Eagles want to.

I think these playoffs are very important for both Sanders and Hurts in their own way.  If Sanders can be a difference maker in the playoffs it could motivate the Eagles toward a better offer; if Hurts plays like an MVP candidate and the Eagles get to the Super Bowl it could get him his extension after this season.

Yes, his catch percentage dropped from 79.4 as a rookie to 53.8.

The last two years his catch percentage is 76.5 and 76.9.

On far less opportunities.

But I don't remember any drops this year when he did get the chance.

It's disappointing we don't use him more that way because after his roookie year, receiving is the part of his game he worked on the most.  To actually be able to run WR routes, not just routes out of the backfield.

Would like to see that stuff utilized.

I think people are missing the bigger picture, this is less about Mile Sanders, and more about paying him a good amount. When you have a bunch of free agents and having to give Jalen hurts an extension which is likely coming this off-season because if they wait a year, they’re likely gonna have to pay him even more if he plays as well as he did this year.

here are the eagles free agents

cjgj

epps

cox

graham

edwards

white

Bradberry

hargrave

joseph

Suh

seumalo

sanders

kelce (he’s either back or retiring)

so the fact that the Eagles like to get contracts done early, especially at quarterback, and the fact that they have 7-8 starters on D as FA and 2 on offense, do you want to pay your RB nice amount of coin when there’s more premium positions the eagles need to replace or extend? You have to be smart on the decisions on who you’re going to pay as Hurts extension looms. As much as the wizard is howie is with the cap at some point in time have to make financially smart decisions about who to extend and who to let walk

I like Sanders probably more than most on here, but there’s no denying paying him just doesn’t make sense. I’d be all for it if he’s taking a very team friendly deal, but as an NFL running back, you can’t do that to yourself. The window to make money is very narrow.

My top 3 from that list are:

CJGJ

Bradberry

Hargrave

Beyond those three I’d focus on TJ and Epps next.

Im not counting Kelce because obviously if he wants to be back, he’ll be here. To an extent I think BG is in that same situation.

Here is my latest hit, this dude better become a stud.

Like I said maybe he's not utilized that way more often because he hasn't shown the coachrs he's he's very good at it.

He had some opportunities this year to make some plays in the passing game and he did not

I'm sure Siri told him the same thing they told everyone else, the passing offense is going to run through AJ Goedert and Smith so when you get opportunities make the most of them, Sanders this year did not.

It’d be interesting to line him up and throw those WR screens we throw to Quez. Maybe it‘d be too much of a tell if he splits out, but he can’t be worse than Quez at it

Graham has repeatedly said he wants to play 15 seasons in the NFL. I'm not a fan of keeping older players too long but it's hard to make that argument with how well he's played this year. He's also the type of player it's hard to imagine playing somewhere else. I think it's almost a lock he's going to be back next year, if not get a 2 year deal to get to 15 seasons.

I just don't think its a good allocation of resources to pay a RB a 2nd contract. I don't care who it is.

There is always going to be an exception and of course it depends on the contract as well BUT in general I agree 100%

We shouldn't prioritize our cap on Sanders.  If we could get him at a super reasonable number then fine but that isn't going to happen.  He knows his days are starting to dwindle and will want to get paid while he can

It actually makes more sense for Sanders to test the market since he’s so close to free agency. He should see what other teams are offering him compared to what the Eagles offer is. if it is a significantly more amount, he should take that money due to that position having a shorter shelf life.

To be honest the time to get Sanders deal, Don was probably last off-season when he didn’t have a career and was banged up at times. You would’ve gotten better value for him. At this point, I think he’s going to get more than what the eagles want to pay him

Yeah but what are the odds Derek Barnett is back at the veteran minimum…

I hope we have a better plan for dealing with Martindale's heavy blitzing than just spamming WR screens. Nick and Shane have their work cut out for them in that department. Jalen too. He can't bail from the pocket. That'll be a big part of this game. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of pre-snap blitz looks that become pretty basic zone coverage either.

A lot of Deep, vertical shots.

Yep. Let him go out and test FA and see what the best offer is out there for him. I can see a scenario where he may not get offered much in a loaded RB free agency pool and he comes back for a modest 1 year deal similar to Barnett. But I'd let the market make that decision for me.

Let's go!

He's already under contract and since he has 4 void years it will probably cost more to cut him than just have him on the team.

That's what we killed them with the first game. And Wink has dropped back blitzing a lot in the second half of the season. I don't think its going to be as easy a third time around.

Yeah they are opting out of that current deal.

Looking at the opt out it’s 1.5 dead money and 4.05 against the cap. He’s not gonna be back.
