perfectly fine with BG coming back.  Provided it's a limited role and the Eagles don't consider him a starter and fail to find a replacement in some capacity.  Can't continue to ignore young DE depth.

I'm "fine" with it, but it's just already limiting how many other FA's we can retain. It might be a team friendly structure/deal overall but looking at what they gave Kelce and Cox to play another year, it's safe to say it's not just going to be vet minimum.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

That's how I always understood it because if stuff is guaranteed and prorated, it has to come due at some point. Unless there is some really off the wall thing put in his contract and it's just too complicated for these websites to explain.

Yeah looking at spotrac they either know something we don’t in that contract or they are just completely  wrong.

that said no way they just cut him as a regular pre-June 1 cut over the next two years. Would make absolutely no sense due to dead money and cap savings not there. The only thing I could see is in 2024 they cut him as a post June 1, and just accept dead money hit. Either way, only way that contract was going to be good is if Barnett hit big or was good and i don’t think the likelihood was very high on that prior to the injury. And now he’s hurt which makes it even less likely.

Big Kelce game coming up. And this is the type of guys that give him fits at times.

Seems like a Dan Snyder type player if Dan ends up not selling

I was gonna say the same thing.  Lamar to the Commanders seems like a virtual lock.  The Ravens would be smart to let him walk.  He looks like Cam Newton v2.0 to me.

Who the heck is big #50?

I wonder if it gets tiring listening to loud rap music every day at practice.

That's Lanes brother, Fred Johnson. PS Tackle.

I think the jets are gonna be in that market. I don’t think it’s as big of a lock he just goes to commanders.

Didn’t they try to switch up the music a few years ago but the players complained?

He is not under contract for 2024.

Void years are signing bonus spread out, but it is never really spread out.

When Barnett's contract expires after the 2023 season, all future cap hits come due.

This should explain it.

You could do a 3 year deal, or a 4 year deal to lower the cap hits per year by spreading the signing bonus, but once the contract expires, the year 4 money comes due in 2023.

I want Gardner-Johnson, Hargrave, Seumalo, and Sanders back. The rest we'll figure out when the time comes. I know we're not keeping them all and that some of the losses might feel painful in the moment, but they'll find guys. The sky won't fall.

Seumalo really depends on what Kelce decides to do.  If Kielce comes back then are you going to have Jurgens repeat this season’s lack of snaps for a second year?

The money that Sanders wIll (rightly) get in a new contract is too much when compared to the money a newly drafted RB (hopefully two of them) will get.  Also it is time for Gainwell to have a breakthrough season in my opinion, so I’m afraid Miles is destined for another team’s roster in 2023.

That's what we killed them with the first game. And Wink has dropped back blitzing a lot in the second half of the season. I don't think its going to be as easy a third time around.

I’d be guessing they’re probably gonna do 3-4 year deal to lower it then.
