Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

still like chick fil A, and their fast service is great, wendys outside of their chili has really taken a nosedive for a good while, the rest pretty much are terrible, I do like hardees once in awhile

Chick fil a is good, service is great!  They're just one of those pumped up, it's the best place ever by some.  When in reality, it's good and nothing more to me.

I might just be a Wendy's fan boy then.  I like them a lot.

I disagree. I think the game is as entertaining as it ever was. That bills kc game last year was an all timer. Tons of comebacks this year. The game is not killing itself at all

Arguably the best game of the past 3-5 years IMO.  IDK outside of that though, it's became a lot harder to watch.  Rules changes are really the biggest thing for me.  I also think we were spoiled for 20 or so years with the era of the QB.  Now outside of a few select teams/qb's, the league isn't as fun to watch to me.  I'm glad you have a rosier opinion than I though!

I've become less belligerent in my opinions (well, I suppose many would argue that point) simply because I don't watch nearly as much football as I used to.  I can't/don't casually watch non-Eagles games anymore.  I tune in for a couple Bills games per year because my wife is a fan and generally pay minimal attention.  I had the playoffs on all wild card weekend, but I was barely watching.

Maybe it's me and it's not the product.  But I definitely watch a LOT less football than I used to.

I too view Chick-Fil-A as okay, maybe a little above average but nothing to rave about. Around lunchtime - and sometimes later - there is a substantial line of cars waiting in the drive thru. There are people with portable terminals taking orders and payment so all the drive-thru window has to do is dispense the food. They must be doing something right. I prefer Wendys of the national burger joints. I've only eaten at What A Burger once or twice - I started to avoid fast food burger joints once I started paying attention to calorie counts on most of their stuff - but What A Burger was well above average based on limited samples..

Howie will be looking for those kinds of trading opportunities

I think you had said it earlier.  If I had more time, out of curiosity, I would be looking at the list of 1st and 2nd round draft picks from 2020-2021 with 1 year left.  Who has flopped?  Who has flashed but not quite fit in and lived up to expectations?  Where is there a regime change?...that's the big opportunity...guys may get caught up in the wash, aren't in the plans with the new staff.  And who has been a success, isn't totally happy, and won't be re-signed?

It's a chance to replace some of our older guys with younger big time talent without the big time investment.

Most insane part of Mahome’s 10 year contract is after 2024 nearly all the guarantees are done. So they can manipulate the F out of it, or just rip it up and sign a new one to bottom out his cap hit again

I hope Howie was paying attention to that and I'm certain he was. Something like that might be the way forward with these huge $$$$$ contracts with not all that much guaranteed $$$$$. You want guaranteed $$$$$? You're getting paid $$$$$, take some of that and buy yourself a disability policy. Maybe something the NFLPA could help with.

Giants really getting talked about out there as a better team than the Eagles.

National media: picking the Giants
Gamblers: picking the Eagles (line hasn't moved)

Don't take it personally.  Eagles Giants needs some external hype to make people think it will be a compelling game.

They're doing what they have to.

The more I think about this game, only way we lose is red zone/turnovers. That's football, it can happen. We have lots of matchup advantages.

Media: Vikings were over-hyped

Giants barely beat them

Media: Eagles are in trouble now!!!

I think the Giants have a very possible path to victory. Run the ball with Barkley and Jones and get some pressure on Jalen. Keep our offense off the field with long drives of 3-4 yard gains. The same thing Washington did and not that dissimilar from what Indy was doing and New Orleans did.

Agreed. Maybe I’m just nervous but I think the Giants may come out a bit more intense than us due to their game last week. If I were them, I’d do everything I could to get an early lead against this team and force a possibly rusty team to (1) try to stop the run on defense and (2) abandon the run on offense and have to throw against a heavy blitzing scheme.

Would need a recalculation using 262 ..... Brock Purdy was pick #262 in the most recent NFL draft

Just shift everything one pick to the right.

UPDATED from 256 to 262.

The Saints game defensively was more on Gannon than anything else. Didn't Hill and Dalton start out the game 17/17 or something stupid like that? I'm still firmly under the idea that we can only beat ourselves.

Did anyone go to the draft in Philly? How did you get tickets? Through NFL.com? Third party sites?

I’m in the process of doing that for the 2020 Draft.  One of the good input documents for that process is https://www.nfl.com/news/weighing-fifth-year-options-for-2020-nfl-draft-s-first-round-selections. Take a look at it and share any thoughts it provides

Meh. New Orleans was Minshew Stania and the last time Hurts was healthy it looked like the Eagles were playing a different sport than the Giants.

Obviously Jalen’s shoulder is a major factor though. At this point I think it’s one of two things.

1. They are just playing games fing with the Giants making it seem like a worse injury than it was.

2. It wasn’t a SC sprain and was something more serious. What? I have no idea. Broken collar bone? I mean what would last almost a month and a half with soreness?

Hopefully it’s the former and the Eagles beat that ass.

You’re wrong on all counts, giants get the eagles this time around
