I am being cautiously optimistic,  I have concerns so I am just going to take the playoffs with a wait and see attitude.

I think we had the best team in the NFC for most of the season, until CJGJ,Hurts, Lane, Maddox, Sweat,Goedert,  & Siposs all  got hurt Sure Goedert, CJGJ are back 100%, Hurts/Lane? 

 

My concerns/questions:

• Hurts is still a question mark with what will he be able to do, will he be the Hurts that was in the MVP talk for most of the season or will we see the castrated Hurts we saw in the last game? Yes they were protecting him and didn't need his legs to win that game, but that changes now.... We wont win with a castrated Hurts
• Lane- how effective can he/will he be? We need a dominante performance from our Oline if we have any hopes of going getting to the SB....
• Gannon/ and our defense have at times been too soft, for a while. In the beginning of the season we were getting turnovers because the defense was keeping everything in front of them, but that has not been the case the past 6-7 games, playing soft and NOT getting turnovers just allows the opposition to march down the field and get points. 

My reasons for optimisim: 

• This team is very talented- I think more talented than the 2017 team, more depth
• we are playing at home
• I think Siri/Shane have been calling pretty vanilla games, saving stuff for the playoffs since the Cowboys game. Yes some of that was Minshew/Hurts related, but we were so vanilla in the last game, if you didn't know any better you would have thought it was a preseason game. 
• This team has some very good leaders who have either been there/done that or are sooo hungry for it, they know how to get the job done- this was on display all season, one game at a time approach. 

 

The only outcome that would surprise me, is if we somehow get blown out, every other outcome I see as a possibility, WIn a tight game, Lose a tight game, or the Eagles blow them out...

 

GO BIRDS- they CAN do this. I just worry about Hurts health and how that will impact the game. That will be answered sometime before 8:45 PM tomorrow night!

So I’m a huge fan of both. I say BCS is a better show because it’s better acting, directing and cinematography in my opinion. BB was very good in the same categories but it felt like in BCS the acting was leaps better and the directing just got better with more experience and hitting their stride. But, the story is much more of a slow burn pace. So that factors in with preference.

Obviously the plot probably has the most to do with anything. I just think they are both A+ shows for different reasons. 

Agree.  I prefer BCS over BB; BB is a more visceral series, BCS is more nuanced and smarter. Both excellent, and essentially nitpicking at 2 all time programs to find a favourite child.  The sad thing, I don't see TV companies being able to create series that good ever again as they are more focused on "content" that story telling. Easier to put out generic crap than give someone the time to create something good.

Moving on. There is an interesting article on Howie on ESPN.  A pinch of salter for the blog, but better than some of the crap in the Inquirer put out now

I'm going to be so annoyed if the Eagles lose this. I really hope they just blow the Giants out.

I'm worried his little knee injury was worse than we were led to believe.  Hopefully the bye week was the right amount of rest for him and the coaching staff gives him more than 2 touches in the 1st half.

The Giants DL is pretty good but not THAT good. Eagles are way more physical than the Vikings. I’d be OK giving up an extra 15 yards to lay a good pop on Jones the first time he takes off.

They didn't even have any sacks against the Vikings so I don't think they are anything like the 2007 giants.

Media talking about these players the Giants didn't have the in that week 14 game that they have now.  Never any mention though of the players the Eagles have back that they didn't in that game. 

CJGJ and Goedert.  A guy who tied for most interceptions in the league despite missing 5 games and the second beat TE in the league.  Which is pretty significant given how bad the Giants are against tight ends.

Exactly.  Another case of games are not won in the media, so who cares what they say.  Seems like RTK is legitimately worried about his man crush and is laying the ground work for him not performing tomorrow.

Just what we all want, jersey patches!  They tried to defend jersey ads during Covid to make up for revenue loss.  The MLB made $11 billion last year.  I hate the idea of ads on uniforms.  Don't like it in the NBA or NHL either.  Will there ever be a point that there is just overmarketing fatigue?
