Listening to BwF, Eagles haven't won a home playoff game as a favorite since 2006 and hasn't won as a favorite since 2008.

This isn't It Follows, don't try to pass that jinx off to me.

Malcolm looks like he's in his 50's. We should sign him.

I'm still wondering what Matt Ryan was doing in our hype video.

DJ gave us

Myles Murphy, Edge, Clemson

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR!, OSU

The "haven't won as a home favourite" thing is something that doesn't matter whatsoever.  It's penalizing the team for winning as underdogs.

I’d wager a lot of money we don’t take a WR in round one

We have no shot at spelling that name correctly either

Only WR I could see us taking is Addison if he falls. He's one of the few guys who can play inside/out. Quentin Johnson is outside only. JSN is slot-only.

Agree with you there.  JSN is a stud though.  It MIGHT not be as crazy as it sounds.  Are the Eagles going to be able to afford DeVonta Smith once they sign Hurts to his new contract, assuming that happens?  JSN might give them an insurance policy even though Smith is still under the Eagles control for the next 3 years.

There's only 1 ball and unless the Eagles go full on pass heavy, JSN would be wasted here.

The cupboard is still kind of bare on the roster for young talent on defense.  The offense is better stocked IMO.

I would prefer defense with the first two picks, but it all depends how the board falls on draft night.  I wasn't expecting to acquire AJ Brown with one of the first round picks last year, that's for sure.

Yes it is.  Here is the depth chart with players we currently have under contract for 2024..  Does not give me a lot of confidence.

Milton Williams stepping up another level, which I think he's capable of doing, would really solidify the DT spot. I like his tweener style next to the man mountain Davis. Sweat and Reddick is a nice combo, but no depth. Dean has a lot to prove. LB and secondary are BLEAK there on that hellacious spreadsheet.

I do not envy Sirianni and Gannon tomorrow. There’s nothing they could really do tomorrow that would wow people considering the Eagles are big favorites, but if the Eagles lose they’re going to get the blame for it since the Eagles have the much more talented roster. Hope they don’t coach tight tomorrow, and I don’t expect them to.

Very much doubt we keep the second of the two first round picks.  Either that gets used in a trade up with the first or Eagles use that to trade back for more picks or a first next year if Roseman can somehow pull that off again.

The rent is due everyday.

That Brandon Graham quote at the end from when they were in the tunnel about to come out for the Giants game week 14 is an all timer.

I watched the Giants-Vikings all 22, and here are some thoughts on what the Giants did.

On offense, Daniel Jones has somewhat turned into Jalen Hurts. He killed the Vikings on read options. The DEs of the Vikings made it easy on him, constantly crashing down on the running back, and he took the easy yards. Our DEs have to make him confused at the mesh point, unsure if he should keep it or hand it off. He also killed them on play action roll outs. The DE would bite on the fake and Jones had an easy throw to a TE.

Most of his throws were on his first read. When it wasn't there, he often took off running. His RT was getting beat constantly, but several times there was a large amount of space for Jones to simply tuck the ball and outrun the DT.

Barkley had some decent runs. The Giants use their LT like we use Kelce, getting him to the second level and letting the TE block the DE.

They really don't have any deep threat on offense. He had four throws over 10 yards, and one of them was on a play where the defender literally ran into his own guy. Jones wants to get the ball out fast and will often stare right where he wants to throw it.

The key to stopping him seems to be to load the box to stop the run, make sure he doesn't break contain and force him to go through his reads and throw down the field.

On defense, Williams and Lawrence are a wrecking crew inside, but they didn't get much from their outside rushers in this game. Ojulari being limited would be big for us, since his backup is terrible. When they blitzed, they liked to do it with defensive backs, so we should have an advantage if we can get their linebackers matched up in coverage.

One thing about them is that they clearly did not care if they gave Cousins a running lane.

It's really hard to see Hurts turn down 20 free yards here even if his shoulder is falling off.

Overall, the Giants won because Daniel Jones was able to beat them with his legs. We have to make it a priority to keep him in the pocket and force him to make decisions instead of giving him easy reads.

On offense, plays will be there to be made. We just have to make them. The Giants are probably going to relentlessly blitz Hurts at the beginning to make him prove his shoulded is okay. The antidote seems to be putting their linebackers in positions where they have to make plays. Goedert will be a real key, as Hockenson ate them up. Goedert's blocking will also be key in the run game, and running into the interior of the Giants line is not something we should be doing too often.

Do you really think the Giants will defend Jalen Hurts the same way they defended Kirk Cousins ??

They'd deserve the blame if Eagles lose unless Hurts plays like he did against Bucs IMO
