I do not envy Sirianni and Gannon tomorrow. There’s nothing they could really do tomorrow that would wow people considering the Eagles are big favorites, but if the Eagles lose they’re going to get the blame for it since the Eagles have the much more talented roster. Hope they don’t coach tight tomorrow, and I don’t expect them to.

I don't mean to signal out you specifically with the bolded comment. But Eagles fans in general. I hear now about how much talent the Eagles have, but I sure don't recall any sentiment like that prior to the year. I don't remember fans arguing that we had a loaded roster. On the other hand, I do recall people complaining about our general manager and what a crappy job he's been doing at acquiring talent. Maybe, just maybe, Howie Roseman has actually been doing a good job all along.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I think Howie had a bad 2018-2020 and a very good 2021 and 2022.

All that was talked about before the season was how much talent this team has. And a lot of it was acquired in 2022. AJ, Reddick, Bradberry, CJGJ, etc.

Agreed.

There was a "Hurts is the weakest link on offense" narrative.

My sentiment coming into the season was that they had the most impressive, deep roster on paper that they had going into a season in a very long time. And that it would all come down to how Hurts played. I didn’t expect him to make the leap he did this year in the regular season. I think a lot of people were impressed with the roster going into the season though.

I'm going to question the authenticity of this analysis when Josh McDaniels, Kliff Kingsbury, Matt Eberflus and Bradnon Staley are somehow top 15 coaches.

What I have to give Howie credit for, is owning his mistakes. I feel like many GMs would still be trying to validate the Reagor pick.

He’s also not afraid to be aggressive. Guys like Reddick and AJ Brown we knew would be good but they ended up being really good. Even this season after getting grind out by Washington, they went out and got two DTs. Many GMs  perhaps would have been hesitant.

That being said, the draft from 2016-2021 meh at best. That’s 6 years of more bad misses than great hits.

Fortunately, his greatest hit was a QB in the 2nd round that played like a league MVP surrounded by great talent.

Do you really think the Giants will defend Jalen Hurts the same way they defended Kirk Cousins ??

They are playing two high safeties on this play. If we can force them into that defense, and if we can effectively block their interior pass rushers, I can see Hurts having running lanes like this.

A lot will depend on whether he can beat the blitz early and generate chunk plays. If we do that, we can force the Giants to keep their safeties 20 yards downfield, like they were a lot against the Vikings.

There's no way any Eagle's fan will get Jaxon Smith-Njiba's name wrong.

They play 2 deep and we are going to run the ball like mad and throw those unders to gogo and that beautiful quick slant to AJ.

I saw a mock yesterday with the eagles taking Van Ness at 10. It said he will be a big time riser at the combine with length, and athleticism in addition to his pass rush moves he has already shown.

Look at TJ Watt -- opening the door for white guys to be edge rushers

Yup, the Giants will want to play within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Cousins had 33 percent of his throws go over 10 yards, and probably did enough to win if his defense had helped him out. But they never really made Jones uncomfortable. Most of the time he had easy decisions to make - pass to his first read or tuck and run.

Are you trolling with this?

Our Coaches are about to play the biggest game of their young careers, one step away from the NFCCC.

Pretty sure they are excited about it all and taking it, ya know, semi-seriously...

Coach's Dream being in this position, nothing they can do? Full strength accepting Avonte....

Cmon, Sack, don't need to Wow anybody, just Win the game.

Why so scared?

Oh, never mind...I forgot.

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles 34

Giants 17

Hurts two fumbles (going half reverse jinx and half serious )

Hutchinson, Joey Bosa, Nick Bosa,  Maxx Crosby, TJ and JJ Watt, etc.. Question is are we ever going to see a white corner be dominant in the NFL

What's a toe, anyway?

Cmon Avonte, need you back.

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles 28

Giants 20

Bonus: Giants 14 garbage time points in 4th qtr to make it seem a closer game than it was.

Are you trolling? I said at the end of the post I don't expect them to coach tight. I also have said before I think the Eagles will win the game.

My point stands though. When you're the more talented team and clearly favorites, the pressure is going to be on for them to come out and play well vs an opponent they should beat. And as I said, I expect them to do so.

Lol I haven't really thought about it
