Negadelphia. Philly fans can never allow themselves to be optimistic, they always believe the sports boogeyman is out to get them. The Eagles are a far better team, if they can't win tonight, they weren't made for the moment and take solace in the fact that they had no shot anyway if they can't beat this team.

I’m usually positive/confident before playoff games. Not this one. Also you’re right, they are the better team by far. Giants are frauds IMO. Good coaching and defense. Jones and no name WRs shouldn’t beat this Eagles team. I think that’s the bigger thing. This would be one of the toughest losses to stomach that I could remember.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I don't know what more they could have done to instill confidence. They have the best record in football, they're strong on both sides of the ball. They're well coached. They're playing a team they're better than. They had 2 weeks to prepare.  Other than Seattle, every other matchup of all playoff teams had more to make you nervous than this one.

The Eagles are either built for the moment or they aren't.

Not nervous about the Giants. Worried about an implosion. But you’re right, shouldn’t be sweating this one. It’s just a gut feeling thing.

How is more money being made from this?

Maybe the people of BUF should pump the breaks on financing a new stadium, if they can't get even get championship game there.  Shameless.

Had to…

Any team can have a down game/meltdown game at any moment. No use worrying about it, if it happens it happens. I think the higher the quality of the team, the coaching, talent the lesser the chances of that happening.

I don’t feel real confident in this game tonight, but I need the eagles to make easy work of the Giants. I booked a gig months ago for tonight playing drums for pretty good money, not even considering that the eagles could possibly play tonight. So I’ll be watching the game whilst playing drums. So if the eagles play like crap, I’m gonna play like crap and like throw drumsticks at the TV or something. This sucks

Huge snowflakes coming down in KC. Too bad it's not like 10 degrees colder, otherwise we might have a snow bowl-type game.

The 1st Q should be wild - is Lane right? is Hurts right? will Gannon mix it up a bit when the spotlight is on?  Should be able to figure out quick what we're in for...

I'd take the ball - and not allow Gannon to suck the energy out of the stadium.

I’m team always defer. Even if they give up a TD on the first drive I think the energy will still be through the roof. If we have back to back 3 and outs, that’s a different story.

I can see Gannon playing it safe and giving up a time consuming drive (even ending in a FG), which saps the crowd, and gives the offense bad vibes after sitting around for 15-20 minutes of real time.  Normally, I'm team defer as well - but normally I watch more aggressively schemed defenses.

We had a great season. 14-3. #1 seed. Set a bunch of franchise records. It's been a *fun* year.

Because of 2017, I don't have this dread before every game. Will I be sad if we lose? Of course. But I look forward to the highs more than I fear the lows.

Don't take this opportunity for granted, might be a bit of turnover next year and less opportunity to reload, the division seems to be getting better as well... got to strike while the iron is hot.

Agree with this. This is likely our best shot in a 3-4 year window (Hurts & Smith on rookie deals + expensive defense with a bunch of expiring contracts). Such is the nature of the NFL.

That’s a very mature way of looking at things. I wish I had the same outlook. However, I don’t. So, if we lose, I’m going out like this.

He loses big on most of his bets.  He took TCU over Georgia, so that tells quite a bit about his actual knowledge level.

He made $75M on the Astros apparently, so those banging trash cans set him up for life.

You do know that it's a marketing ploy for his business right?

Wife just said she wants to fly up for the NFCCG if we win tonight.

Didn’t expect that one!

In 1980 I thought we were going back (I was little kid), but had to wait over 20 years for another conference game.  Unless you got TB12, being a 1 seed is a unique situation.

The 1981 Wildcard game vs. the Gnats really pissed the 12 year old me off!

Does anyone know if the NFL's package (on nfl.com), where you can watch archives of games, also includes the various radio broadcasts like it used to in the past? I signed up for a free preview week a couple of months ago and didn't see any radio links (other than live, when the games were on).

I didn't search too extensively at the time, but I need to know if they're available in archive form.

How could you not even consider it? You had to know they Eagles were gonna be playing a playoff game this weekend and that there would be one of the four time slots happening tonight. You’d have to think there was about a 25% chance we’d be playing in it.
