Dalls has neglected the DT position for 25 years now. That will be the story tomorrow after the game

Traded for Hankins, too little too late.  The UCLA kid is likely a good 3T but isn't a force against the run.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

When you go back and watch classic NFL games you notice in the 80s all the fans in the stadiums had regular clothing at games. No one had jerseys on.

Im curious what year that started to change. I never really thought about it tbh. As long as I can remember stadiums were always packed with team jerseys and shirts and stuff, but every time I watch videos of games from the 80s(and prior of course) all you see in the stands is regular everyday clothing.

Was team gear harder to get back then? I honestly don’t remember.

When I was a kid given I was given a Randall jersey in 1989 and I wore that for years after.

But I think sports apparel got a huge boost in general about 1990/91/92 thanks to hip hop, you would see team jerseys and gear in rap videos all the time in the early 90s

It’s a big reason why they lost last year, their historically bad run D in 2020, why the rams ran for 300 on them in the playoffs in 2018…

Heres a crazy stat:

31 NFL teams have drafted a DT in the first round this millenium. The one that hasn’t, Dallas Cowboys: Kevin Pritchett, 1991. Not joking

31 years, basically Jerry’s entire GM tenure. he actively avoids the position, it’s not how he believes teams win championships

Just a reminder, the board may go down sometime in the next few hours.

Hurts came through. I did not expect him to do so before this season. Props. Push that rent back a week.

Hats were the big thing back then. Shirts and other stuff too but the replica jerseys weren’t a big thing until late 80s. I have a Randall shirt from that era.

Just an excellent game all around. Lane and Jalen both looked fine though not 100%. Simply mauled them with our OL.

If I was a Giants fan I don't think I'd want Barkley or Jones going forward.  As a huge Penn State fan I've always loved Barkley but he has been injured a lot and the tread on his tires is going to start wearing down quickly.  One year for sure but not a long contract. As for Jones, he doesn't seem like the guy who takes you deep.  I'd take my lumps and start with a new QB and build around the solid coaching and the lines and go from there.

Additional small benefit….by playing the late game today, SF and DAL will have 1 full day less to rest / prepare.

Feels like we’re going back to the SB.

And I think that's pretty big. We know that SF and DAL are going to beat up on each other and take something out of each other. It's a great scenario for us to be in. And if SF win they have to travel across to the East with a day less rest.

And if Dallas wins, playing the Eagles in the NFCCG will be their 5th straight road game

Can’t see Dallas beating SF, they’re too error prone and the 49ers are too talented.

still, you never know.

We are in an excellent spot but it will be tough either way.

Will be in Vail skiing for the Super Bowl......one major benefit, game will start at 4:30!!!  Get off the mountain, head over to Vendettas in Vail Village and watch the game.  Will be over by 8pm!  If the Eagles are in it (and they better be), looks like will be skiing in my Hurts jersey!  And a completely perfect year NOT to hear the halftime show.

Pascal is a blocking machine.

I wanted so badly for Watkins to fit in this offense.

But he scares me out there.

Pascal is great at blocking but Smith is incredible at it too, esepcially given his stature.  Would really like to see them reward Pascal with a catch or two.

That sounds riské. I hope my wife doesn't mind.
