Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

It has nothing to do with Justin Fields being a bust, that’s internet hyperbole. You don’t move on from a player only because he’s a bust. If Philly offered DeVonta Smith straight up for Christian Kirk, does Jacksonville say no (financials ignored)? They had similar seasons, similar stats. But of course Jacksonville does it; DeVonta is substantially the better prospect, much younger and has far more potential. That philosophy works in every position, you want the best possible player with the highest upside. Why does it not work at QB more than any?

If Justin Fields were in this draft, he would not be the top prospect, he would not even be a top 2 QB. Maybe not even too 3 depending on how high you are with Levis.

Stroud and Young are hands down better prospects at the most important position in professional sports. Try and get a 1 for Fields and draft Stroud should be the slam dunk move. Has nothing to do with Fields being a bust or not.

1st for Fields? Now that is the funniest thing Ive heard in a while. Hes not even a QB.

But agree that if the Bears pass on Stroud then the GM should not have a job the next day. ONLY way you pass on him is if a team sells the farm to trade up that you can build an amazing team and use some of those picks to move up to get the next Manning in a few years. But who are we kidding, its the Bears

Jalen Hurts isn’t a QB either to some here, and that worked out for us. I do think there are a few teams in the NFL who’d put together a halfway decent package for him.

The Texans are not really considered an NFL team.

Has Fields earned a giant longterm deal yet? Does he look like he’s about to explode for an MVP-contention season or lead the Bears to the division title next year? No, he had some really good moments in 2022, but his worth to Chicago is still based almost entirely on future projection. He is still a prospect. Having said that, If Justin Fields were in this draft, he would not be the top prospect, he would not even be a top 2 QB. I will always disagree with this take and I don’t understand how people can’t see this, especially fans of the Eagles.

Justin Fields has everything he needs to be the best player in football. He’s a special talent imo.

Yeah, the QB "isn’t even a QB” thing needs to be retired. It’s dumb.

Hurts, Howie, and Sirianni have to be laughing thinking about all of the BS thrown at them at times over the past few years.  Me, included.  It's amazing where we are today and most of it comes back to those three.

A great example of why Gannon and other DCs occasionally drop DEs into coverage, and why we fans shouldn’t immediately say it’s dumb even when it doesn’t work.

How did we only lose to you guys by 7? Your team is dominant and looks like they will win it all.

The game wasn't as close as the scoreboard but yeah

Only rush 4, but one is totally unblocked.

I loved this play call, but not at first. I was questioning what the hell they were doing running this kind of sneak for what seemed like a very long yard. They proved me wrong. How the hell do you even defend this?

He developed into a complete NFL QB this year.  Obviously, getting Brown made a difference but Hurts has worked really hard on his pocket presence and his overall technique and the results speak for themselves.

One thing I'm still confused over is what the heck do the Eagles have in Kenny Gainwell?  I don't think he's a feature back but he clearly has talent and can do great things on the field.  Is he underused, perfect as is or do they need to get him the ball more?

This might sound weird but I think the #14 gives me the illusion he's not a real RB.  Makes him feel like a gadget player.  I'm not saying the number makes him good or bad, just the illusion of #14 just throws everything off.  If Gainwell was out there in 25, he would LOOK like a RB.  '

Eithe way, #14 just always seems to be moving forward.

NYG I think are a good team, well coached, but nothing special.

They were playing their best ball right now but regardless whoever the Eagles play next week will be a big step up in competition.

See the NYG beat Minny who had a good year but they had so many lucky breaks and everyone knew they were frauds.  Giants got a little too cocky and were feeling themselves too much after that win. I hope the Eagles don't do the same and feel they can roll either SF or Dallas.  It's going to be a bigger challenge.

The 5-man line necessitates a drop back occasionally, as 6 defenders in zone are stretched very thin or requires man coverage. Makes we wonder the type of DE they’ll prefer in the draft… a bigger body like Sweat or LB hybrid like Reddick.

It’s the first time Davis has had more snaps than either of them. He’s getting healthier, but he needs a lot of work this offseason. I’m not doom and gloom over him, but I sure would have liked to see more from him this season.

He has a high ceiling and I’d like to see him be more aggressive. He has the potential, he needs to unlock it.

It sucks that his ankle went out. It wasn't a walk it off type of injury either and he's a big guy. He was trending up leading up to that ankle. He is young and coming into a new style of defense. He's gonna take a couple years. He needs to work on everything but I think he will be good.

And Fields was a very competent pocket passer in college and has absolutely nothing to work with in Chicago. I don’t think what’s happened thusfar in his nfl career is properly indicative of his value moving forward. It’s a poor man’s version of Steve Young in Tampa; he’s running for his life every play. Still, Stroud is just that much better a prospect

Anyone know if NYG bumped Dreams and Nightmares in the locker room last night?

Ed Podolak would like to have a word.

Makes you think that he will improve some more this offseason.  The passing game becomes a little more complex next season and he needs to run a little less.

Patrick Mahomes threw 50 TD passes in year 2

You watched Fields in year two and thought, "This guy clearly has better tools”…?
