It’s very hard to imagine any team taking a 194 lb QB with the 1st overall pick.  Can’t imagine Bryce Young would be durable enough; look at the volume of QB injuries in 2022.

I’m not super impressed with Stroud, either, but he’s clearly the best prospect from another weak QB class.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

On a totally random note, I was reminded today that Robert Quinn is on the team. Totally forgot he was even an Eagle. Wonder if he even returns this season.

Who?

 Same with Kerrigan...

Swing anda miss. Oh well...keep pitchin Howie...eventually throw a strike...

How am I not as emotionally invested in the team?  This has been one of the funnest Eagles teams to ever watch.  Truly not a player that I can say I dislike.  Even bad players like Wallace have made some plays or played at least competent in some spots even if they have played awful in others.  But this is a QB driven league and we have a young QB that is already playing at a MVP level and I'm not only thankful to have seen that season from him that greatly contributed to the Eagles going 13-1 under him but also very excited to see how great he ultimately becomes and how well this team does with him going forward.  Especially if this cap this season off with a Super Bowl.

If they do, Jalen would become the 4th youngest QB to ever win a Super Bowl.  1. Big Ben, 2. Mahomes, 3. Brady, 4. Hurts 5. Wilson.  Hurts' birthday (8/7) actually comes after Brady's (8/3) but the extended season of the modern era pushes the Super Bowl further back making Hurts older than Brady to win his first Super Bowl despite being younger than Brady at the start of both of their respective Super Bowl seasons.

It’d be cool if you were as emotionally invested in the team as you are with their quarterback. It’s weird.

We go as far as Jalen will take us.

Even with RTK hanging on his back shouting encouraging words...

I don't think it's gonna be a cakewalk like some here think but the odds of them making as many mistakes as last game is so low I can't imagine they play that poorly two weeks in a row.

Uuugh I'm finding this game so hard to predict

I don’t think it’s weak, at least like this past draft. Stroud & young can probably have an impact but largely depends where they go. Same with Richardson and Levis

HAPPY NEW YEARS To Everyone.  2023 is now here.   Just as we wake up from a long night, lol.  There's a game this early Afternoon.   The Birds with a chance to clinch everything and lock it all up with a win against the Saints.    The Season is winding down and the Playoffs are near with only two regular season games left.  The Birds are 13-2 and control their Destiny for the #1 Seed and Division.   The Saints are still alive in the NFC South but Tampa is in the Driver's seat.   The Birds have had their number the last few years.    Meanwhile Jalen returned to Practice but still isn't ready for game action just yet.  Minshew Mania gets another take as the injury bug has hit at the end of the season.  Lane won't be back till the Playoffs and Maddox is also out.   A Win here opens the doors for the bye week and rest before the playoffs.    I expect the Saints to come out and give them a Game.   But now that Minshew has has played a game, had more time with this Offense.  I think they limit the mistakes that they made last week.   I also expect the Defense to bounce back and keep the points down from the Saints.  While also forcing Dalton into some mistakes.  I believe they take care of business here and score about the same as last week on Offense but Defense does much better.   The Birds start the year out on a good foot.   Clinch NFC BEAST and #1 SEED at Home.

BIRDS - 35

SAINTS - 16

Miles - RUSH TD

Kenny - RUSH TD

AJ - TD

DeVonta - TD

Goedert - TD

Defense - INT, Multiple Sacks, Fumble Recovery

Thats the first I've heard of that.  The national championship has pretty much been their's to lose.

I thought USC was the 1 team that could beat them but never thought it would happen.

Kirby Smart said it after the game last night. First I had heard of it as well.

In a record setting event, we have the worst take of 2023

Good luck to all those in 2024

3 minutes, it took him 3 minutes to have the worst take of the year.

On the other hand, ESP could have made that kick.

Seems like it’s going to come down to next week, which is unfortunate.  Oh well.

The coming beatdown by the saints is just the next phase of what will be called the worst meltdown in sports history.
