Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Need some TE screens today to help keep the pressure off Minshew.

Bryce Young and CJ Stroud were impressive today.

I don't trust either QB at the next level.  Bryce Young is an incredible college quarterback.  From a physical standpoint, he's listed at 6' 193 so we can assume he's probably around 5-10 185.  No denying his talent and leadership, I just think he could get destroyed in the NFL.  I'm trying to have an open mind that Drew Brees wasn't big but he's considered one of the best passers in NFL history.  Even he was 6' 212.  He was short for NFL QB standards but he was also built thicker and better to take the NFL beating.  Now, maybe the evolving NFL rules that prohibit any sort of contact on QB will make it easier for a guy built like Young to survive in the NFL but I'm still hesitant.

Stroud looked lights out.  He was dropping dimes.  He also has a WR group that is better than half the teams in the NFL trot out on Sundays.  Having those targets and the way the OSU OL was blocking, Herbstreit could have come down from the booth and thrown for 300.  Show me an OSU QB who has had success in the NFL as of late.  Not taking anything away from what Stroud has done.  He's been terrific.

Guys I really liked today and made some money if they declare for the draft.

TCU LB Dee Winters.  The guy was everywhere and lived in the UM backfield.

TCU RB Kendre Miller.  I hope he's healthy for next Monday. That was a weird tackle.  I had Bo Jackson hip injury flashbacks when I first saw it.  He's the kind of RB I would love in the draft if he declares.

TCU WR Quentin Johnston.  He's been a stud all year and showed up on the big stage.  I think we are all scared from TCU WR wearing #1 but man, Johnston is big, strong and fast.  Top WR in the draft?

TCU DL Dylan Horton.  98 was making plays all game long.

Michigan QB JJ McCarthy.  He's a baller. Put UM on his back with Blake Corum out.

Michigan DB Mike Sainristil/Will Johnson.  0 and 2 battled all day long.  I love UM DB and how they translate to the NFL.  Sainristil is still learning to be a DB and could be a steal in the draft whereas Johnson is a True Freshman who could rise to a top DB over the next few years.

Michigan RB Donovan Edwards.  With Corum out, he's had to shoulder the load.  Another bigger RB at 6-1 205 who I think is going to be special being the feature RB next year.

Georgia DB Javon Bullard.  He's a dynamic jack of all trades player.  I've noticed him blitz all year but he can cover, he can hit and he can play the slot.  Reminds me a bit of a bigger Brandon Boykin.

Georgia CB Kelee Ringo.  Hesitant to put him on the list because he can get burnt but he also battles.  Intriguing player who if he can learn to be more disciplined in his coverage is going to be a flat out stud.

Georgia QB Stetson Bennett.  Posted it last night but I think he'd be a hell of a late round pick to be your backup QB.  He has all the intangibles you want from a guy when you need a big play or a win.  He's going to be 26 so I don't think any team is going to invest in him to be the answer as a franchise QB.  He just plays with poise that you don't see in many.  If the Eagles lock up Hurts, a guy like Bennett would be huge as QB2.

OSU WR Marvin Harrison/Emeka Egbuka.  These 2 are going to make the next OSU QB look better than he is.  Would love either of them next year in the draft but that would never happen.

OSU OL.  These guys, for the most part, gave Stroud all day to throw the ball.

Finish this. Lock it up

Yep — feels like a pretty difficult day for us is coming but hopefully it ends well.

Oh sorry you mean the game in a couple of hours. I meant it too but also the fact it’s  New Year’s Day and I’m hungover to F.

Wow, you all need a pick me up this morning.

Happy New Year

Taking the Saints and points is easy money, especially with Lattimore and Olave playing

Defense gets a TD

@LeanMeanGM

I think this defense should and will come out strong today after being completely embarrassed last week.  I see multiple turnovers and 9 sacks.  Maybe even a pick 6 from Darius Slay.  He's been piss poor as of late and he needs to turn it around.

Minshew did everything he could last week to beat the Cowboys and lock up the #1 seed and the defense let up 40.  They need to come out with their hair on fire and not expect Minshew to win the game but help him do so.

I think the Eagles dominate today and we see something like 34-7.

Big day for the DL. Minimum of 5 sacks.

It's a New Year.

Start out right.

Black Label...

Can't help but feel a sense of impending doom as it relates to the game. Losing to NO is a cataclysmic outcome, man I hope we win today.

Bunch of cowards. Scared of the big bad Saints that were looking like a top 7 pick the vast majority of the year.

We're going to learn a lot about Jonathan Gannon today.

Trey Sermon still can’t get active. No idea why we are holding onto him.

Also Opeta clearly lost favor with this coaching staff.
