Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I think the Eagles should go into this game doing what they do. The Eagles are their best when they play their game. The Niners have a very good run defense. I think the Eagles rushing attack is good enough to run on them. Then I think if/when they need to, they can make plays through the air. Then on defense, they won't shut them down, but make enough plays and force a turnover or two.

The Cowboys D did a good job of limiting Christian McCaffrey.  35 yards on 10 carries and 22 yards on 6 receptions.  That should be Gannon’s goal.  It would be nice to limit Kittle more than the Cowboys did.

No, not really. That's something that I can manually fix (I think), like I did with post counts when we switched to the new board from the old EMB.

I don't care. I have badges now.  I am like Herschel Walker.

Maddox return would be absolutely massive next week. I’m hoping he can give it a go.

But we screwed him so badly.  We would run him East West and he was such a good N/S runner.  Crazy how badly we used him.

That’s Demarco Murray on steroids. I would actively boo him every week no matter what.

Amen

Purdy isn’t very mobile. I’d actually attack him relentlessly. Bring the heat, hit him hard repeatedly. Maybe we give up some big plays but I think we can make him wilt under pressure, especially if our offense can get some early points.

A trillion percent.  I don't care what we risk to do it but we must bring constant pressure on him.

Who do they have that can cover Kittle?

I'll never forget Demarco Murray QB sliding short of a first down.

What a chump, Ryan Mathews was the better FA signing RB of the two

Pressure, but controlled pressure like they deployed yesterday.  Pressure with no exit lanes for him to take.

Reddick. Reddick. Reddick

Cowboys problem in a nut shell. What other team has an owner that runs out of the owners box to hold a press conference after every game?

He's gotta be chomping at the bit to get to Purdy.

I’d add, take away the underneath stuff. Obviously with CMC, Kittle and Debo they have a lot of guys who are really good at catching quick passes and making plays after the catch.

Take that away so he has to stand in the pocket an extra second. Give our rush time to get home and take away their best offensive trait simultaneously.

On plays that weren't designed rollouts, Purdy didn't look good on the move which is a positive for us. He definitely threw up his fair share of ducks. The only QB that gave us fits with their mobility was Fields and they're not in the same stratosphere in terms of athleticism.

Yup, he looks like a fatter Mr. burns.

Our pass rush is unreal. The fact we had a 16 sack player, our second best had only two less sacks than the great Micah parsons and our DT got 11. And the one who is "washed up” got 8. Our fourth best pass rusher was top 16 in the league in sacks. What a story Josh Sweat is. Love that guy. He’s my new "Trent Cole”. But I feel somehow people still under appreciate just how special that whole group is.

Kudos to Temple.

Knocking off Houston.

Two blocked shots in the final seconds.

Good weekend for Philly sports

Sure, but I might try to pin their ears back early and try to make Purdy uncomfortable for basically the first time this season. Gotta be smart, but can’t let him get comfortable by playing scared. Better him run than Deebo or McCaffery

It really is a thing of beauty.

Wish there was a way to bring them all back, but I know that's unrealistic.

Seize the moment!

Both the Eagles and Niners will be game planning to shut down the other team’s run game.  Shanahan will have Purdy getting the ball out quick to try to neutralize the Eagles pass rush.  If I was Gannon I’d be planning to double Kittle whenever he’s out on pass routes.

I think this game comes down to Sirianni/Steichen vs Demeco Ryans planning and in-game adjustments.  Eagles have the advantage of a downfield passing game if their running attack gets bottled up.  I think the Niners will live and die with the running game and McCaffrey/Deebo short throws as an extension of the run.

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles 24, Niners 20.

The SF defense will hold them in it for quite awhile, but at some point the Eagles will hit enough chunk plays to break them down.

I’m also going with Bengals over Chiefs, unfortunately.  I can’t see how Mahomes heals up enough to best Burrow

Yup, early I was a bit worried about it, but after they signed Joseph and suh to shore up the run D seems offenses were put in more obvious passing downs letting those guys get after it
