Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I wonder if they regret giving Zeke his contract. He has not been the back of old.

$16mil for a guy who isn't even the best running back on that roster?  They'd never admit it, but you gotta think they'd like that money for something else.  if this were Howie, I think he'd probably release him and take the dead cap.

Sidenote -- it's funny how things have changed in the NFL.  When I started watching, running backs were invaluable team stars and critical to the success of the team.  Now, it's just not that way any more.  Makes you wonder if it's worth it to spend big money on any running back.  What's Miles furture contract look like?

If Dak is still there it doesn’t matter what they do

He's the next Kirk Cousins.  Can't win the big game.  Can't win in prime time.  Decent numbers, but never looks like a star.

Was Purdy good last night?  ~200 yards, 65% completions, 8 rushing yards.  The best thing you can say about him last night is that he did not turn the ball over and didn't lose the game for the 9ers.

Cowboys is a legit defense too though, not bad at all for Mr. Irrelevant

I don't care who knows it, I love Kyle Brandt.

He throws some ducks for sure.

My take:

@LeanMeanGM Eagles 30, Niners 20

Bonus: DeVonta and Gainwell each score a TD.

All for it. Carr is even worse.

Best wishes to you guys in your Championship run.

Purdy isn’t very mobile. I’d actually attack him relentlessly. Bring the heat, hit him hard repeatedly. Maybe we give up some big plays but I think we can make him wilt under pressure, especially if our offense can get some early points.

49ers are pretty good at not giving up sacks.  They have a decent OL and run the ball well.

It's going to be bully ball. Looking forward to it.

Guy really did make the most out of his fame from The Jim Rome Show

Kittle, CMC, and Deebo attract all the attention, but the player that sneaks up on teams in Aiyuk.

They need pass rush pressure. Aiyuk and deebo do their damage on late crossers etc. must force purdy to get rid of the ball

Going to be a massively physical battle.  Probably fairly low scoring, and turnovers (and points off turnovers) likely is the biggest factor in the game.

I really like our chances.

We will win by double digits.  Maybe even blow them out.

Seems unlikely unless we get multiple turnovers

For the record, I was completely F’d by this board update. I use old dinosaur computer technology and apparently it’s not particularly compatible with whatever improvements were made. So now if I want to contribute anything of substance (rather than a couple of sentences like right now which I can do with an IPad), I’m going to have to jump through hoops.

I’m not happy but this is the world I now live in where things don’t work anymore. Go Eagles.

Purdy didnt win the game for the niners, he just didn't lose it.

Eagles defense isn't the Dallas defense.

Eagles run defense is better their pass rush is better and their corners are better.

If Dak doesn't implode cowboys probably win, they were in it til the end even without Pollard and a banged up o line.

Meanwhile the niners mostly healthy played like crap majority of the game on offense until they decided to run the ball straight up the gut

As always the game will be won in the trenches.

Cowboys neutralized niners pass rush but in the end they didn't stop the niners run game.

If eagles can block the niners and tackle the niners they'll win, if not they'll lose

Cowpads corners are better than Slay and Bradberry?  What hallucinogens do you have there in Wichita.   Cowpads corners are only better at press mainly because the Eagles don’t press.  But Diggs is mediocre and has no catch up speed.

I think he was saying we have better corners.

And hes charmin soft. 2-3 times Saf got huge plays because Diggs ran away from contact. The deep Kittle play was particularly egregious

Diggs jumps routes, but really isn't a cover guy at all.  But, he gets INTs so he gets some sort of bump because of that.  But, he gets burned just as much, if not more.  The opposite side of the field is a bad CB.  Slay and Bradberry are very different style from Diggs/Bland.  But, they are also much better.  Slay is starting to show his age a bit more now, I think.  He's wearing down as the year has gone on, but he just had a bye week, and wasn't really tested by the Giants... he'll be fresh for this game.  Both Slay and Bradberry can be basically placed on islands on the outside against the 49ers to help clog the middle of the field with the safeties and LBs.  The 49ers aren't going to test them outside of the numbers.  No need to worry about that.

It seemed to me that the Cowboys put a fair amount of pressure on him.

Also we don’t hate the Eagles here in GB. I think most of us are pulling for you guys over SF.

I like our chances as well, but I think the 49ers were always the best built NFC team that could give us some trouble. They are physical and also fast. Fred Warner can play sideline to sideline and neutralize some of the Hurts running plays. They also have a good O-line but I like our pass rush in that matchup. I think it's mostly going to come down to can we capitalize on Purdy mistakes and can we limit the damage over the middle.
