He was grabbing at his hammy several times after a play.  I can deal with him being upset about that, but pouting over a lack of targets in a convincing playoff win is a bad look.

Maybe he was wondering what his stats would have been this season with Ryan Tannehill at QB?

And Reid did not win until he got the best QB of his generation, and who could go down as one of the top 5 all time.

Andy Reid led the Eagles to nine playoff runs, six division titles, five NFC Championship Games (including four consecutive from 2001 to 2004), and an appearance in Super Bowl XXXIX.  (And several playoff appearances and a division title in KC prior to Mahomes).

He didn't win until Mahomes?  Just the Super Bowl.  But he won just about everything else - and on a consistent basis - prior to Mahomes.

And who drafted Mahomes?  Andy Reid drafted Mahomes with the vision of what he could become in the NFL - this is when he still had Alex Smith playing at a very high level.  (Smith passed for 4000+ yards and a 104 Qb rating in 2017).

And who helped make Mahomes who he is today?  Mahomes had all the talent in the world coming out of college but he was still not considered a polished, "NFL ready" QB -  but a very high ceiling prospect.  It was Andy Reid that helped him develop into what he is today.

"Mahomes is a big, confident quarterback who brings a variety of physical tools to the party, but he's developed some bad habits and doesn't have a very repeatable process as a passer. Mahomes' ability to improvise and extend plays can lead to big plays for his offense, but he will have to prove he can operate with better anticipation and be willing to take what the defense gives him in order to win from the pocket. Mahomes will be a work in progress, but he's a high ceiling, low floor prospect."

I have absolutely no disdain for Hurts, and have given him his due in countless threads, countless times.  Has nothing to do with RTK, I am a free thinker and develop my opinions regardless of what anyone else has to say.

It is Monday, game is not for 6 days, someone engaged me in a discussion, on a discussion board, so I am having a discussion that is very relevant.

There is nothing about my facts in that post that are not factual, and then I provided a scenario about Hurts losing to Purdy.

Can we not have a discussion without emotions getting involved ??

Emotions? Who has emotions? The only emotion I sense is "butt hurt” and it ain’t me.

Listen to what you’re saying "if Hurts loses the NFC championship game, he’ll be 1-2 in the playoffs and that’s not good” or whatever crap. Dude.. we’re in the NFC Championship game. Jalen got us here. Second year as a starter. After almost no one thought this was possible this year. So before the season, we thought Hurts needs to be replaced. He takes us to the NFC championship game, and all this sudden, the standard for Hurts is Super Bowl or bust? It doesn’t even make any sense.

And Josh Allen has playoff wins three years in a row? Has he been to a Super Bowl? And he’s had a stacked roster the whole time. But somehow Jalen’s playoff win is "just a Divisional Round”? Wtf more has Josh Allen won than that?

So Jalen hasn’t proven himself, but his standard is somehow perfection? It’s not even sensical

I didn't say it was Super Bowl or bust, but if you are the best team in your conference, that is the expectation.

And this may end up being the best team the Eagles are able to field around Hurts, so this may be his only opportunity.

StubHub and Ticketmaster has seats for less than $700

They've come down a bit since it is now known it's not Dallas.

I was hoping to go but looking for closer to 1200 dollar range for a pair.

Right now with fees a pair is about 1500.

I'm going to try to get some tomorrow but chances are obviously slim.

Anyone know what face value is?

Wow.  Definitely did not sound like it but there was a dull roar for large periods of time so the steadiness of the noise I thought was impressive.

That Phils game was other level stuff though.  So was the Vikes game in 2017 IMO

It was crazy in the 1st quarter.  I didn't think Daboll was stupid enough to go for 4th and 8 against this DL.  I lost my mind when we stopped them lol.  Crowd was good all game in pivotal spots (3rd down).   My voice is still hoarse and I was still hungover for my flight this morning.

Got to say I was a little disppointed in the jabbing of Giants fans.  There some moments but not the consistent type of torment that I have come to know and love from Eagles fans.  What happened to the whole section yelling AHole every time an opposing fan gets up?   It had been a while since I have been to a game but I would have thought that was a tradition that would stand the test of time in Philly

Wouldn’t the best team in the conference probably have a pretty good QB? Jalen, objectivity, can now read a defense, make timing throws and is accurate with the deep ball. What else do we need to see?

You JUST said that if Jalen loses to Brock Purdy then we need to take a hard look at his 1-2 playoff record. So.. how is that not Super Bowl or bust?

"this may be his only opportunity” um.. ok.. you could say the same for Burrow and Allen and Herbert too. They’re all gonna get paid. So what? I’m not sure your point. This might be his only opportunity, so that 1-1 playoff journeyman better take us all the way, with his questionable skills..? I really don’t get it

Face value of our tickets was $215 per seat. Lower bowl probably slightly higher. Club level considerably more.

This is a good watch if you want to relive Dallas' misery, but also if you want to see what the 49ers do on defense.

The 49ers don't really generate much of a push from their DTs, and if Mailata and Lane hold their own, they are going to have to either spy on Hurts or bring pressure, since I don't see them being able to drop seven into coverage and stop Hurts from running.

At DT, Givens and Kinlaw played 19 and 23 snaps, respectively, and were two of the three lowest graded defenders on defense. Armstead did okay at the other DT spot, but he wasn't great, and I think any of our interior oline guys can handle him one on one.

One point the guy made in the video which I think was valid is that the Cowboys scheme wasn't great. The 49ers seemed to know their tendencies and could exploit them. It will be interesting to see if we can do a little better attacking them.

Would you not be concerned if Purdy outplays Jalen this week ??

These are the #1 and #2 defenses, so whichever team wins will be one QB outplaying the other ??

I am not trying to say anything negative about Jalen, he has proven me wrong.  This is a discussion board, so I am having a discussion.

19 of 29 for for 214 yards was enough for Purdy to beat a Cowboys defense that played their @ss off yesterday.  What would be your reaction next Monday if the 9ers win and Purdy has a similar stat line ??

Albert Breer said he thinks Payton might be out of the mix for Denver and Quinn is probably the frontrunner there. He said he thinks Payton ends up staying at FOX and not coaching next season. Which is what I predicted a couple weeks ago, but since then the chatter has been him to Denver.

He thinks Flores is the frontrunner for Arizona.

Gannon/Ryans for Texans.

Didn't give a favorite for Panthers.

Colts could be Saturday, but he'd need a top level staff.

You're talking to a guy who thinks a frontrunner for MVP this past season is a "bust" if he doesn't "win it all".  And if the Eagles do happen to win (with this potential bust QB)  it will benefit him regardless, since he'll win some sort of lottery for sports memorabilia.

And in the same thread is criticizing a HALL OF FAME COACH - saying he "never won".

The hate is strong with this one.

What else is there to get?

Andy only won with a top QB...

Oh I'm sorry how many super bowls did Belicheat win without Tom Brady???

Bill Walsh what a chump he only won because he had Joe Montana and Jerry rice...

Andy isn't a one off like Switzer or Gruden who took an already established team and qb and won 1 super bowl then burned those respective franchises to the ground.

Reid took over the worst team and roster in the league and helped turn them into perennial contenders for a decade.

He then gets immediately scooped up by the chiefs who had been a post season joke and has now led them to 5 NFCCGs the only coach to do so with two different teams.

Hate Andy for whatever reason but don't make stuff up to justify that hate, he's a damn good coach and will be in the HOF when all is said and done.

Again, I just don’t understand what you’re talking about. Stat line? Jalen threw for 150 on Saturday. And we won by 31 points, so no, I don’t care about stat lines.

And a HARD no on just because one team wins, means the other teams QB played better. That has absolutely zero basis in reality. If a RB fumbles, that’s on Jalen? If guys on defense miss tackles, that’s on Jalen? No. Not even close.

It really just feels like you’re grasping at straws so if the eagles somehow lose, you can some little ITYS or whatever to try to maybe hold on to a shade of your original narrative. That’s why I asked if it has to do with it bothering you that RTK lucked into being right, or if you really just don’t want Jalen to succeed. Because nothing you’re saying makes any sense

Why does my opinion impact you so much.  I was wrong about Hurts, now that I am trying to have a discussion about going forward you are letting it have a massive impact on you.

If you don't agree and think I am wrong, just move along and don't let one poster on a message board ruin your day.
