You're talking to a guy who thinks a frontrunner for MVP this past season is a "bust" if he doesn't "win it all".  And if the Eagles do happen to win (with this potential bust QB)  it will benefit him regardless, since he'll win some sort of lottery for sports memorabilia.

And in the same thread is criticizing a HALL OF FAME COACH - saying he "never won".

The hate is strong with this one.

What else is there to get?

Well I’m starting to get that he’s making ish up to try to pretend he isn’t doing mental gymnastics to down play Hurts’ success, in some kind of backhanded way, under the guise of "I’m just having a discussion.”

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

If I’m Payton and chargers job didn’t open up this offseason and Buffalo is bringing back McDermott again then I’d wait too. Houston, Carolina, Denver, Az and Indy are available now. There’s a bigger chance if McDermott and the bils regress more next year that McDermott gets fired. He gets to coach josh Allen. Also a chance the chargers falter and they finally fire staley. Has a chance to coach herbert. Depending if Payton feels better about murray after his injury or houston being able to get young or the other draftable Qbs, the options are likely better in 2024 offseason

Face value of our tickets was $215 per seat. Lower bowl probably slightly higher. Club level considerably more.

Nice.  Good to know.  I'm sure IF I can land any tomorrow when they go on sale it'll be nosebleeds.

That's well within range.

If Chargers can't afford to fire Staley no way in hell can they pay for what Payton wants.

Why does my opinion impact you so much.  I was wrong about Hurts, now that I am trying to have a discussion about going forward you are letting it have a massive impact on you.

If you don't agree and think I am wrong, just move along and don't let one poster on a message board ruin your day.

An impact on me? No. I’m just calling it for what it is. My day isn’t ruined at all. The Eagles won and the Cowboys lost, and my QB, who couldn’t read a defense or throw a lick last season made a miracle turnaround that makes me look like a dumb a-hole, but is really freaking good. My day is great.

Don’t let the QB for your favorite team being better than you thought, ruin your whole year, because that’s what it’s felt like all season. I don’t care what you think. It has zero effect on me. The difference is, I’m glad I was wrong about him, but you’ve seemed pissed about it all season long. Do you, booboo

Probably true. Depends on how much of that report is true and how much of it is BS.

Plus I've heard Payton is asking for $25-30M per season for 10 years.  There are candidates out there who are far cheaper who have more recent success.

There's a medical/psychological term for that:

Passive-Aggressive:

"Passive-aggressive behavior is a pattern of indirectly expressing negative feelings instead of openly addressing them. There's a disconnect between what a person who exhibits passive-aggressive behavior says and what he or she does."

Not pissed at all, and have said I was wrong more times than I can count now.  I am just having a discussion on a discussion board, is that still allowed ??

If some people choose to go the you are not allowed to say anything even slightly negative about Hurts route, I can't stop it, but I am allowed to push back.  Nobody is perfect, including Jalen Hurts.

He's worse.  ESP is actually paid to be a reporter.  Peterson is a wannabe who has a Youtube account.

Wrong

I pointed out that Andy could not close the deal until he got the best QB of his generation.  Which part of that is incorrect ??

You guys are so offended by an opposing opinion you resort to extremes.

You said "Andy never won prior to Mahomes" and I clearly posted how you were wrong.  Andy Reid will also go down as one of the best head coaches of this generation.  (Who happened to draft and develop "one of the best QB's of his generation").

It's obviously a two-way street.  Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes are two of the best of this generation and they both have helped each other's success.

It's not "one or the other".

Staged.  No one could have actually thought that that play had any chance.   And very sad that so many folks were gathered around such a tiny TV.   Its not 1995 anymore.   Big screens are basically the same price as the smaller TVs.

Can’t say anything negative about Hurts? What are you talking about. Your making up hypothetical to preemptively complain about about and take his status moving forward into question. I’ll be the first to say something negative about Hurts... when he gives me something to complain about. But he’s been phenomenal pretty much all season. More consistent than literally any QB in the entire NFL. Bar none. So when you sit here and start making up stuff to complain about that hasn’t happened, it shows a clear bias. Can you can tell me what Jalen has done to make you think he’ll be outclassed by Brock Purdy? Oh I’m sorry.. that’s right.. you’re just having a discussion.

Hypothetically, if Joey Bosa gets stonewalled by an injured Lane Johnson, maybe he’s washed up and the 49ers should trade him. If Joe Burrow goes to the Super Bowl and loses, he’ll be 0-2 in the Super Bowl. Maybe he’s not a winner and the Bengals should move on.

it’s the same thing. It’s not a discussion, it’s a fantasy.

This is some shade being thrown at people unknown

It’s not an opposing opinion, I thought. You said you were wrong about Hurts, right? I’m saying I was wrong about Hurts too. That’s the same opinion, right? I’m not the one resorting to extremes.

But opinions are based on evidence. Hurts, this year, has given zero evidence that he might ish the bed. But you keep talking about "what if he ishes the bed?” That’s not an opinion. It’s a speculation based on nothing.

But it’s all good. Keep talking out of your turd cutter. I’m gonna enjoy being wrong.

Obviously I meant the Super Bowl.  Did you think I really meant he hadn't won anything ??

Again, I just don’t understand what you’re talking about. Stat line? Jalen threw for 150 on Saturday. And we won by 31 points, so no, I don’t care about stat lines.

And a HARD no on just because one team wins, means the other teams QB played better. That has absolutely zero basis in reality. If a RB fumbles, that’s on Jalen? If guys on defense miss tackles, that’s on Jalen? No. Not even close.

It really just feels like you’re grasping at straws so if the eagles somehow lose, you can some little ITYS or whatever to try to maybe hold on to a shade of your original narrative. That’s why I asked if it has to do with it bothering you that RTK lucked into being right, or if you really just don’t want Jalen to succeed. Because nothing you’re saying makes any sense

Lucked into being right? There was no luck about it.  I outlined specifically the path forward for improvement for him.  It wasn't luck at all. It was recognizing who Jalen was, his work ethic and all the things that were working in his favor leading into this season that made a continue keep forward all the more likely.

Yep, I have been wrong about this, but have been right more than I am wrong.

I don't know if  you were around on the old board, but I was at the forefront of the Eagles are going to win the Super Bowl with Nick Foles.
