Did that jagaloon Sims really say that Daniel Jones is almost as good of a runner as Hurts and a better passer? If he really did there is no way he believes that and isn't just doing it to try to get attention.

120 for 708 and 7 TDs

165 for 760 and 13 TDs

Fairly comparable this season. Hurts dwarfs him with TDs, but also had 45 more carries.

The throwing argument is lunacy, though.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Uh oh, you did the thing. Now you’re gonna hear it…..

@LeanMeanGM just saw that they announced the ref crew for the Super Bowl. Carl Cheffers. Thoughts?

Geez... I haven't even noticed Quinn on the field at all.  I had to look up his stats: 1 tackle.  That's it.

Yikes, my bold prediction that he would return from injury and contribute in the playoffs isn't looking too good.

This is the last year for Cox; he's way too expensive to keep as a pass rushing DT when you can use a Williams or cheaper vet for that role.  I'd rather keep BG and/or Hargrave than Cox.

Cox going elsewhere would also give him a new married women pool to swim in too, so he can win personally also.

So far, he'd be a waste of conditional 7th round pick, let alone a 4th.

Brock Purdy is up for Offense rookie of the year?  Not for me

Without parsing through that top 10 list, Ill just say that Lane Johnson at #6 is a massive error.  He'll probably be the best overall player at his position on the field Sunday. Cowherd is a west coast homer.

Also putting Slay on the list instead of Reddick?  Tell me you dont watch the Eagles without telling me you dont watch the Eagles.

It's Wednesday. Let's hope Avonte practices at all.

Not to mention Suh and Joseph. Thats a lot of big bodies and experience thats not going to be there next year

If we want Suh and/or Joseph back, best bet is to let them take off training camp, pre-season and about the first 3-4 games.

Then bring them back on team friendly one year deals.   Those are guys on the brink of retirement that just want to be on a competitive team but don’t (or can’t) let their bodies go through an entire season - but want to win.

At this point, is he really going to walk onto a football field and play better than the guys we've been rolling with for 2+ months?

Just let him rest for a potential super bowl appearance

One benefit of having Maddox back is that it allows for more flexibility on defensive personnel.  CJGJ can then rotate between safety and slot (and vice versa with Avonte/Reed, etc), depending on formations etc.

Nah, if he can play get him out there. Super Bowl appearances don’t come often.

Regarding your comment I bolded above, don’t go to sleep on Josh Jobe as a "young CB” going forward.

Regarding the part I italicized, I believe you are panicking prematurely on Davis.  In addition, the Birds have Noah Eliss stashed on the PUP.  The buzz on him 12 months ago was pretty solid.  I think Howie will get another productive season out of one or more of Cox, Joseph, and Suh … especially if the Birds win the Super Bowl.

I actually (cautiously) liked the Davis pick.  I questioned the value, as run stopping DT in round 1 felt a bit rich, but there was no denying the unique potential.

And im not dying on any hill insisting he’ll be a bust either.  I just sense that’s the path…We all know it happens.  Every high first round pick is a budding star until they aren’t.

I do think Howie’s actions will tell us everything this offseason.  Milton Williams was really, really good down the stretch.  Davis is a high first round pick.  And the Eagles (justifiably) don’t like to give big money to guys over 30.

So if they spend several millions over multiple years on one or more over 30 DTs (or invest another top pick) to relegate Davis to depth, I think that tells us everything we need to know about their opinion of Davis.

He needs to be able to run first...all indications are that he is not even close to being ready

Once again I will take the NFCCG with a wait and see atitude- mainly because of two reasons:

1) Niners defense is legit- the main thing I think the Birds have going for them, The Niners have not faced a offense as dynamic as the Birds with everything Hurts can and will do, that puts defenses into pick your poison positions. The thing that concerns me, the Niners defense is good enough to take away a good bit of our run game forcing us to beat them through the air......

2) The only thing I think that can really beat the Birds is: The Birds themselves with turnovers, dropped passes etc. That can happen to any team- has happened to us this year in the Washington loss.

This team has exceeded my expectations all year long- Here is to hoping they continue to exceed my expectation for two more games this season!

Avonte Maddox as a deep safety on 3rd down is better than Blakenship, because he can play man coverage. He can have a big impact playing 15-20 snaps.

He hasnt played in 2 months. I dont want any broken coverage TDs because we brought back an above average player.

We're lucky the Giants dropped that walk-in TD last week.

Ill take the consistency and good mojo all day.

The game is going to hinge on our DL and CGJ playing well against Purdy. If the DL can get pressure and the Eagles can control the middle of the field, the Eagles can and should win.

AS I have said many times, the key to winning is turnovers, 3rd down/red zone efficiency and average starting field position. Whichever team can win these battles wins the game.

This game feels like the titans game to me. A lot of hype about their run D giving us issues, and we just went bombs away and exposed their secondary. AJ is gonna have his chances this week, let’s hope he’s up to the task.

I dont think we'd be getting that Avonte Maddox, though, is my main point.  He hasnt done anything in more than 2 months.

It makes me nervous.  Its like tinkering with a good batting order right before the world series

The Saints had the #1 run D for 2 straight years (2020-2021). We smashed them.

The 49ers couldn't stop the Falcons run game. We're going to be able to run on the 49ers. I just want more N-S runs.

I think we need to greatly lessen our RPO game against the 9ers, they're a nasty team and the options expose Hurts to extra punishment, more designed handoffs please

They have.  The Chiefs put up 6 TDs and 44 points on them.
