What are you talking about.

He played 77% of the defensive snaps December 11th.

He played 100% of the defensive snaps December 18th.

He played 19 snaps before he was injured December 24th.

If he plays this week, that will be 5 weeks since he played last.

I couldn't remember when it was exactly so I went to his gamelog and noticed he missed 4 games starting in November and just wasn't thinking.

Still doesn't change much to me. IMO he doesnt move the needle a ton.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

That game was over when SF was up 21-3 in the 3rd quarter and they took their foot off the gas.  I watched that entire game.

Seattle did not cut it to 21-13 until 3 minutes left.

It also could’ve been even larger as SF had a defensive td taken away on Bs by the official.

I see similarities there as well. 9ers pass defense is very gettable. Lamb beat them up pretty good in the last game, Metcalf the week before then, and Adams in the Raiders game as well. Warner and Greenlaw are great linebackers so I don’t expect to see much run after the catch and success in the middle of the field. That could be worrisome given how much they like to run slants and WR screens. There will be some deep shot opportunities this game.

but they cant come out slinging the ball 35 to 40xs, this team can win but its gotta make the run a priority

Shane Steichen has nominated for Assistant Coach of the Year as well.

Looks like we're keeping Shane Steichen.

Wasn’t there just a report the other day that Steichen was the lead candidate for the panthers?

One of SF’s 3 TDs was a Seattle fumble on their own 6 yard line. Purdy mounted 2 scoring drives all game beyond that.

And after that 21-3 score to open the second half, Purdy was 4-8 for 67 yards the rest of the game, and SF didn’t score another point against the 26th best defense in football. LV and Seattle are arguably the 2 worst games of his career thus far. Victories of a combined 11 points against a 9-9 and a 6-11 team

Jobe could very well be a candidate for CB2 if they lose Bradberry to FA. He's got the measurables and athleticism that McPherson never showed.

I think Suh or Joseph come back for a second act. Not sure the Eagles could afford a Cox sequel.

Huh?  Where does that come from?  Jobe is maybe 1/2” taller, his hands maybe a half inch bigger and maybe has an inch more in wing span but he’s Sydney Jones light at 181 lbs coming out of college (Eagles list him at 190) compared to Zech’s 191. Jobe never tested at the Combine nor Pro Day but he sure doesn’t seem to have McPhearson’s level of quickness (4.5 forty,, 4.03 short shuttle, 6.84 3 cone).  McPhearson has been the first relief QB for the Eagles for his first two years and hasn’t been exposed like Scott was when he played.  I was surprised that they had Scott over McPhearson but I haven’t ever seen McPhearson play slot.  It sure looks like McPhearson was destined to start when Bradberry fell into their laps.Considering the starters in front of him are veteran All-Pros, the idea that McPearson is a dud seems premature.   Jobe was a nice signing but I think his speed was what made him an UDFA.

Yes but now there are reports they want someone who already was a head coach so now Frank Reich is becoming a leading candidate.   Gannon is still a hot candidate for the Texans.

Not worried about Purdy, but I don't think he is getting appropriate credit.

He did score 33 or more points in 5 of his last 6 regular season starts.

Eagles scored 33 or more points 6 times all year. ( once by Minshew )

Not looking to have an all day back and forth about the merits of Purdy, but people just discounting him is a little foolish.

Brock Purdy is up for Offense rookie of the year?  Not for me

If Purdy qualifies, why not Breece Hall, who had is sewed up before he got hurt?

Graham got snubbed.

Exactly.  Quite often in the car I'll listen to Yacht Rock Radio or The Bridge; keeps me in a calm mood and helps me deal with the "shenanigans" other drivers will pull without my blood pressure spiking

There’s only 3 finalists for the award. Sirianni and McDermott aren’t one of them.

It’s at the point no one really knows anything, imo. They did a round of zoom interviews and are just starting to do second in-person interviews. Since anyone still in the playoffs can’t interview until after this weekend, there isn’t much known how high they are on Steichen or if Gannon is the favorite for Texans.

Not at all the point I was making. I agree their offensive has been explosive… but mostly at home. Even in LV where they dropped 37 he didn’t have a particularly great game. That’s the specific notation I’m making there, the discrepancy of when he doesn’t have SF’s crowd backing him he isn’t as impressive, and the margin of victory goes down quite a bit.

Geno Smith isn’t a comeback player.  Late bloomer, sure.  But wouldn’t he have needed to be good at one point for him to be a "comeback player” after this year?

Yeah, that's nonsense.  Geno Smith didn't "come back" from anything other than being benched.

Saquon is the run away winner here.  BG definitely deserved a nomination, but I still think Saquon is a better story.

Geno Smith absolutely qualifies for comeback player and if he doesn't get it, it would be an absolute travesty.

The award isnt strictly about injuries.

Imo i think demeco makes more sense for the Texans. He’s one of the most beloved players that organization has had and one of the best players in that franchise’s history. I guess if you are blown away by Gannon in an interview over demeco that’s how you feel. but i still think houston and demeco just makes more sense if you are going defensive head coach.
