I think Sirianni is the #1 reason Hurts was an MVP candidate. He coached him up and put him in the perfect system to succeed.

So it is Sirianni, not his work ethic, intangibles and will to be the best ??

And if it is Sirianni, a bunch of that credit then also has to go to Steichen, as the play caller.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Siriani is in the NFC Championship year 2 after everyone trashed his hiring, he can do what he wants.

Man you’re something else.

Jalen Hurts’ work ethic and intangibles and Nick Sirianni helping develop Hurts are not mutually exclusive - and they haven’t been since they’ve been together.

Who’s criticizing Sirianni?

Comparing Nick to Doug, Nick had the #1 seed on the line, and could not figure out how to get a win with the back up QB.

Doug, who should have been coach of the year, went and got the wins he needed to be the one seed with the back up QB.

What about Brian Johnson? Or Steichen? No credit for them?

He said Siriani is the #1 reason.  Steichen gets part of that credit if coaching is the #1 reason.

It was that chef who Hurts gave his secret recipe to. In exchange the chef taught him how to read a defense

Not sure how this needs to be explained but a head coach also gets credit for delegating play calling, development, etc to his coordinators/coaches. They are not mutually exclusive.

If we all just agreed, what would be discussing?

Vermicomposting.

Even Graham gets it.  The Super Bowl is the goal.

He actually had to delegate play calling because he was not doing a good job at it, his own admission.

Doug and Shanahan call their own plays.

That's a shirt for 8-year-olds.  If you disagree, then send your 8-year-old to fight me

I have a 15 year old if I send him and you get a 7 year old in addition to yourself, would you accept those odds?

I mean sure, but you can use that argument for any coaching staff. The same applies to Daboll or Doug's staff.

Agreed.

I'm hoping Avonte plays, as he's just better than Jobe.

Him practicing this week means that we'd get him back for the SB (fingers crossed). The 49ers are not a big 3WR team, but the Chiefs/Bengals are. Avonte is critical for that matchup.

Hurts will make the difference

I think we need to greatly lessen our RPO game against the 9ers, they're a nasty team and the options expose Hurts to extra punishment, more designed handoffs please

If this was regular season I’d agree. We’re playing for a chance at the ultimate prize. Whatever it takes even if it’s 15-20 Hurts carries.

Maybe, but I think Chase or Higgins probably will have a better chance.
