Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans and Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen are the finalists for AP Assistant Coach of the Year.

Demeco gonna win that

I know no politics but the quote from this guy in the eagles jacket is amazing

Where is the info coming from that the pouting was due to him not getting the ball?  I haven't read anything that gave a reason and in one place (think it was D. Gunn) the speculation was that he had tweaked his ankle or a hammy.

In any case, yes, time will tell but this 90 seconds on its own isn't an issue.

Same question as for IPhan - Where are you reading that he was upset due to not getting the ball?

Where?

He said he is a WR and wants the ball throw his way because in his mind he can change the game.

Where is he pouting?

There is no evidence of what question he is answering.  Not in that 90 seconds.

Saying the right thing days later is a minor thing.  If he said the wrong things days later then that's a massive issue.   But the issue in this case is where his mind was during the game.  He was clearly frustrated, and yet the team was rolling.   It should have been sunshine and lollipops on the sidelines, not a time to have a fuss and feel the need to 'change the game' when everything was working to near perfection in that game.   Wrong time for a selfish thought process.   Playoffs are about one thing and one thing only... winning.  Anything other than that is a concern.   Some concerns are bigger than others.  Hopefully this concern goes back to being a nothing burger.

But I think that's the main difference from this situation and the TO situation. With TO, his ego would never allow him to say the right thing, even decades later. But here AJ is at least trying to couch his behavior as an overreaction due to being caught up in the heat of the moment. Which is, at the very least, something we can tolerate as long as it doesn't boil over into yelling at your QB or OC. The only remaining concern then, would be if he starts to give less than full effort on some plays because he's upset with his usage. Otherwise, I don't see the parallels between this and the TO situation, or even the Alshon situation.

When both are healthy, who is a better player (at their respective positions) Bosa or Lane?

edit: I worded that like a moron. You get the point.

No clarity there.  Was it the injury that he was feeling pouty about or not getting the ball?  Unclear from that article.

Didn't Siri say "I want a wide receiver that wants the ball" ?

How far is that demand for the ball allowed to go?

Can he throw a tantrum and smack himself in the face with the kicking net?

He basically frowned on the sideline.  Im willing to allow that.

Let's not act like he was getting physical or was getting in Hurts' face or something.  He wanted to join in on the beatdown, got caught in the moment, and everyone was fine afterwards

Totally blown out of proportion

Exactly.

And anyone who watched the game (or film) afterwards would have seen him out there blocking, etc when he wasn’t getting the ball.  A few analysts actually pointed out how good he was at blocking on certain plays, etc.

If he was throwing a tantrum or taking plays off, would he be out there blocking like a mad man?   Would a "diva” WR go out and block when he wasn’t getting the ball?

He was pouting on the sidelines during the 4th quarter, did you watch the game ??  Even the announcers pointed it out and Sirianni went over and talked to him on the bench.

Having lived through the whole McNabb TO issue- this is not a good sign. McNabb and TO were good freinds too at one time.

Then they couldn't be on the same team together.

TO had an agent get in his ear and tell him he had signed a bad deal and was worth more money.  That was the source of the problem.  It had nothing to do with not getting the ball.

Who knows if he was pouting and he has talked to reporters since it happened.  The reports were that he was upset over an injury.

Read what McManus wrote on the tweet. It was about his frustration on Sat night. Unless McManus is lying?

Show me a clip of him "pouting on the sidelines”.

(No, putting your face down and simply not smiling does not equal "pouting”)

Not to mention the fact that the guy was hurt and tweaked something.

You guys like to create drama where no drama exists.

me thinks you are downplaying it just a bit.

He was clearly upset, and SIri had to console him.

They write all sorts of stuff in the tweets.

This AJ Brown "controversy" is ridiculous. Every WR in the league wants the ball.
