Yea I would love to have Simmons here but it’s going to be pick #10+ and likely $23-$25M APY. There were also character concerns coming into the draft, so not sure how Howie still feels about that. 

No way I'd give up 10 and pay the man $20 million/year.

I'd be more optimistic about a Simmons scenario if Cox hadn't been re-signed.

Just not enough dimes in the fanny pack.

Thanks. I'm 54, beyond bullying. Not beyond being annoyed unfortunately though lol, but I wouldn't associate anyone here, with any of that. I have a good idea who's doing it and where it's originating from. 

After a couple of eye surgeries, my mother is doing well. Thanks.

I was half expecting this after everything that's been going on recently, anyway. Things here seem A LOT more peaceful here now, though. So maybe its all worth a little annoyance.

Any idea how many people have been banned since you built the place? Just curious how much nonsense you have to deal with. 

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated.

Taking a fun football message board so serious that you go cry on YouTube & then spam his own personal account there, that's a special kind of loser behavior.

There's also been enough lies & conspiracy theories about moderation decisions.  Enough with a handful of toxic a-holes ruining it for everyone else, the majority are happy & say it's peaceful & more enjoyable lately. The problem isn't moderation, they are the problem. 

I'll be happy to put those lies to rest and be "transparent" (again) if you still have issues. We've been transparent before and stated reasoning but then the few problem posters continue lying about it anyway. So if you want that conversation and want transparency...be careful what you ask for because things will come out you might not like. Reported posts, the insane conspiracy theories & garbage I get in my inbox, the requests to ban people you don't like, the hypocrisy in celebrating when people get suspended or banned that you don't like. You want to keep calling out the mods just be prepared.

As usual the Athletic article took me to other Athletic articles including an article on Belichek’s use of the Tilt 6 against the Rams.  Thanks. Your write up reminded me of a discussion. JR and D20 were having a couple decades ago.  

That got me speculating.  The Greedy Williams signing threw me a bit. Not a nickel. So three "back up” outside CBs in McPhearson, Jobe and Williams.  In nickel we have Maddox backed up by Scott (who shocked me with how mediocre he was last year) and Goodrich, who was never active.  None of the CBs Howie traded for the year before made it or was signed to the PS.  So why sign Greedy?  Last year the Eagles toyed with Scott at S.  (Scott is an interesting study in experience given only McCollum is as young as him of the DBs).  The Greedy signing makes sense only two ways to me.  They felt a real need to upgrade Jobe? Yeah but he is only a backup to McPhearson and besides this is a CB loaded draft. Maybe let McPhearson move to backup nickel?  Meh to that because no reason he couldn’t be the backup nickel.  To let McPhearson play dime?  Closer I think.  Maybe something more like CJGJ’s dual S/nickel role. What would we think of McPhearson as a S next to Edmunds adding as appropriate Williams, Scott or Blakenship/Evans in dime?  Keep Maddox as nickel because he excels there.

Nevermind was thinking of Sweat. I remember there being rumors before the draft the Eagles wanted to trade up for Simmons and got it confused. They traded up for Dillard.

'14 to '20 is a pretty rough stretch for 1st round picks for us. Crazy that we won a Super Bowl in the middle of it.

Whatever was done it worked. This place is much more enjoyable of late. People still disagree and get after it but its not toxic anymore which it used to be. Just getting rid of 4for4 alone was a huge improvement.

I’ve been wondering about McPhearson as a safety as well, but assumed he wasn’t in the plans there with Evans and now Edmunds. I don’t think he has the COD to be a slot (admittedly based on seeing him get cooked there once, maybe it was a preseason game). He would seem to be a better candidate for a hybrid position than Scott.
