JSN can play outside too though. Y’all acting like he’s Wes Welker.

That's a terrible thing to say.  JSN will never be as good as Wes Welker was.

I'd like to get one player with question marks but very high end talent at either OT or CB.  If they manage both, that's being greedy, but great.  Then ideally, an elusive RB.

Garrett Williams is the CB.

Interesting.  Those teams had multiple chances to pull that off with other teams too, if it was for the QB.  The Chiefs drafted a fairly uninspiring edge at 31 with Nolan Smith off the board...I'm sure they could have been persuaded out of that spot.  Those teams couldn't have wanted Levis that badly.

Imagine being this excited to overdraft a RB at 12…. THEEEEEEEE LIONS

Cheap 1-year deal essentially for a late draft pick sure. Maybe there’s a player they’d want to take off our hands.

More bulldawgs!

Exactly my reaction. Chiefs would have moved for a good package

You're being ridiculous. No point. Give me the reasoning for letting sanders just walk away if they thought he could be had for the same amount as Penny, since you're so in the know and all

Here's the reasoning: Sanders was never an overly impactful player.  With our offensive line, Hurts, WR's, etc. you could stick anyone back there with the touches we gave Sanders and they'd produce too.  When it came time for the playoffs, who was it that stepped up in the big moment...was it Sanders or was it Kenny Gainwell?

That is the information at hand.  There wasn't one leak about us absolutely wanting to have Sanders back, not one leak about what we offered him, not one leak about him turning it down to sign with Carolina.  So unless your second cousin works with Miles' parents and overheard them talking to his aunt on the phone about what the Eagles were preparing to give him, you're making a point I don't even know how you got to.  Didn't this start because of why Dalvin Cook might want to play here over Miami?

You want the player to start off feeling wanted (ie not the war room video Milton Williams saw).  But aside from that, these orchestrated war room hype videos are cringe.  Look like you've made a good draft pick before, golf clap it, and get back to the board.

I was laughing at this when they showed it last night.  I still can't believe they got him.

The decent package was offered to both Philly and KC but both really liked the edge they picked.

No way anyone tries to trade up to 30 for a QB but then does not try to trade up to 31.

I think it if was a decent package, KC doesn't make that pick.  JMO.

I would love to know how the tampering negotiations unfolded. With the timing of it all, I think it's safe to assume Howie got this done for ammo for a higher trade up than #9, but he ended up not needing it. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he trades back out of round 2 to recoup more mid round picks now that we have another pick 4 spots after.

Have no picks in the first round? Have to stay entertained somehow

man times have changed. Could you imagine if this video came out 10 years ago?

The Lions, with a gigantic mural of a wolf behind them in their draft room.

And maybe the Eagles just drafted a DL and the team(s) trying to trade up were actually gunning for Nolan Smith...and KC wasn't involved afterwards.  If it were actually for a QB, I think a team doesn't let KC say no in that spot.

As surprised as I was at the Gibbs pick, I think the Jack Campbell pick was even more egregious.  I'd have Drew Sanders on my LB board first, then Campbell second.  I think Campbell will be exposed as too slow in coverage.  As big a fan of Sanders as I am I never pushed for him at #30 -- more like 40-42.

Campbell should have been in that range as well.

Scenario: Carter goes #4 overall.  Richardson is on the board for Eagles pick, but no one is biting to trade up for him.

Who is the pick then?  Nolan Smith?  Christian Gonzalez?  Wright?  Skoronski?  Van Ness?

I think there's a report out there that Nolan Smith was going to be the pick at 10 in this scenario

Players I want on day 2

OL- Jones, Torrence

DB- Porter, Branch, Ringo

RB - Charbonet

TE - Washington, Musgrave

WR - Hyatt

The best line about the Lions draft was that they walked into a steakhouse and ordered a burger.

That's not a bad idea though.  Steakhouse burgers are some really good burgers.  If you are in the mood for a really good burger, that's a good choice.

If you ignore the positions (the Eagles never touch off-ball LB or RB high), the sentiment of the Lions draft reeks of old Eagles.

Both of those guys are "good football players."  They had their own random board that diverged from the consensus and just got their 2 guys, value be damned.

They'll probably hit singles with both.  I bet the first round has much bigger busts than either of these 2.  It's just bad value.

The Eagles will push that narrative.  And we all would have been OK with it.  But I think Howie would have tried like hell to trade down before drafting any of those names at 10, Smith included.
