If he does, then so did Marcus Smith, so we drafted one in 2014.

No.

Hes an edge. Even if you want to call that an LB, when you play a 3-4 or this hybrid the eagles have converted to over the past few years, the on ball linebackers are pass rushers so its a premium position. Its not the same as taking an off ball LB, or a 3-4 ILB.

Im hoping he doesnt last till the eagle pick due to all the interest theyve shown. Thats a bust waiting to happen. Hopefully the 2 pass rusher picks already pretty much rule him out anyway, but I will still be sweating if its getting close.

the thing is, Graham is old and Barnett sucks. So we can technically use youth at DE.

Both Sweat AND Reddick are UFAs after the 2024 season. We'll extend one of them, but with Nolan Smith on the roster we hopefully no longer have to keep both.

It's kind of funny the last 2 months everyone has been saying how unpredictable this draft was going to be and there's no clear target just for the Eagles to take the two most predictable guys.

• 3 TE's  Pettigrew, Ebron, Hockenson
• 3 RBs Kevin Jones, Jahvid Best, Gibbs
• 3 LBs Ernie Simms, Jarrad Davis, Campbell

Its strange that they don't have any playoff wins.

Agree with you. My prediction for a while now has been Tuli Tuipulotu

 

But Id be fine if they waited till the 7th and took the Rice guy. Hes another overpowered physically dominating guy. He will have a year to develop behind the depth on this line.

maybe dude perfect can make a LB/Edge coin to flip so we know what to call him.

Hopefully they are able to address OL and DB tonight. I'd be cool with a RB too. A trade down from 66 might help them get the ammo to take a RB on day three.
