I sort of agree. It is overkill. But they also dont have great DT depth. Im just not that thrilled with Tuipulotu at NT. Benton can rush the passer, but he has NT ability. Would be a great addition. Bringing some juice at the NT position is a rare ability he can provide.

A few thoughts on last night:

1. Roob is a frickin clown for asking that question framed with that pompous comment "he didn't seem accountable to me." Who made that fat homeless looking bum judge and jury.

2. The house band that kept playing at the draft was bad and supper annoying. It had an effect on the broadcast. They need to shut crap like that down for the future.

3. The Eagles dominated last night getting Carter and Smith, things really couldn't have went any better for them. Good on Howie for not getting too cute and trading down from 30.

4. The Lions are morons

5. We got to move up from 94 to 66, only giving up a future 5th, AND we got rid of "JG"..........best trade ever

2 - I stopped listening to the draft broadcast after the Nashville band destroyed the telecast. Watch some streams. PFF is excellent and they will know way more in rounds 3 and on.

Davis, Carter, Cox, Williams, Tuipulotu, Street, Elliss...they're not adding another DT.

I was responding the the player with question marks comment. Brents doesnt really have those. Williams has a torn ACL. 

Ill take Brents, but I love the ball hawking of Riley Moss, who also has size, and elite athleticism. maybe at the top of the day 2 CB list.

Not sure how I would rank Brents vs Williams. Ill be very happy with any of them.

Quick question, and something you mentioned earlier, why the many calls (pre-draft) for the type of RB that is mostly redundant to Gainwell?    For example, I get the desire (pre-draft) to mock Jahmyr Gibbs to the Eagles, great player, but that always seemed sort of like a poor use of resources to me?    It would be one thing if the Eagles didn't have any RB on the roster to provide what Gibbs provides, but with Gainwell on the roster it seemed like a bad use of resources to project a Top 35 pick on a RB that just basically sends Gainwell to the bench.   

If the Eagles go RB at all in the next couple of picks I'd rather see a RB capable of being the potential bell cow (Sanders or Penny type) or a larger more physical RB when they want to pound the ball.

Having said that, I think OL and S would be my preference with the next couple of picks (assuming the value of the player matches the pick slot).  But as long as it really is the highest rated player on their board, the positions don't matter much to me, they could add at almost any position and easily find an open roster spot for that player, except QB and maybe now DL.

 

Not sure.  Personally, I'd like to have a bigger back somewhere on the roster.  Yes, that's been talked about ad nauseum for years.  But, going back to the SB winning season, they had not one but two power backs.  It would be nice to have that on the roster, and maybe we wouldn't have to use Hurts as a battering ram so much next season.

Give me a great guard, and then either a RB, CB, or S. Couldnt complain about Pittman or Hutchinson if either WR makes it to them.
