Trying to catch up, super busy. Where is all this UGA coaches don't like Carter chatter coming from?

Todd McVay said JC didn't like to practice/talked back to some of the coaches.  This and the conditioning problem - is the issue to me.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Happy about Nolan Smith, but was really hoping we’d get Deonte Banks. Think NYG got a good player there. Can’t wait to sign him 3 years from now because Giants won’t have enough money to pay him

Think about this for a minute.  The rest of the NFC East is drafting to beat the Eagles.  The Eagles are drafting to win the Super Bowl.

His mom is worth a late rounder.  No contract extensions, but could probably come in and contribute right away.

I am willing to work with her and get her in game shape.

Interesting that he has Christian Ellis as LB #2. He's more than big enough at 6'3, 230. He plays with violence that we very much need. His brother was a solid starter for the Saints last year. If the Eagles think he can start, we're not drafting an LB.

I realize they rotate their DL a ton but there is no way Sweat isn't a "starter" regardless of whether they are in a 3, 4, or 5 man front.

I'm so pumped.  My goodness, this defense is gonna be so much fun to watch.

If thats the case- I hate this pick. The Draft is always a gamble, but when players are lazy, lack motivation/motor-  the risk/reward of taking them is even higher. We have seen this played out many times, and it is why teams/GM's after getting burned by a high risk/reward player, start going back to drafting guys with specifically naturally high motor- motivation.

You can lead a horse to water but you cannot force him to drink.

Or, as Dorothy Parker said, You can lead a horticulture but you can't make her think.

Championship.

Two trades...64 for 70 and 141, then 70 for 100 and 109.

This picture would have way more power if the offense wasn't on the 1" line.

There's enough snaps to go around.

Morrow was 53 with the Bears.  Probably a simple mistake.

Whatever.  You're always trying to bring us down you parade raining SOB!

Sidenote: My wife went to the Taylor Swift concert in Atlanta and I'm not really working today.  Already 4 beers deep.  Grow up everyone.

Notice Nolan called Howie "Coach"

He must follow the blog

If Howie really wants to get spicy:

62 and 66 = 544 points

35 - 550 points

Imagine adding Brian Branch as a day one starter to this defense at S.

#98 is available for Carter. Wonder what number Nolan picks. 4's taken by the all important kicker.

Beyond everything else, I think I'd hammer this message to Carter. Dropping from 3 to 9 cost you $15 million. Being immature now has a huge financial cost -- basically, this isn't college anymore.

98 makes perfect sense for Carter. With Smith I'm thinking he goes with some single digit swag, so 3. If not 3, maybe 74.

Said it really early this morning that I think he's the first #0 for the Eagles...although I'd love to have a DE/LB back in 56.  I know traditional numbers aren't "cool" anymore but 56 is just such a great # for a beast of a defender.

Saw someone suggest Nolan Smith wear #0 last night. I hate the number, but I think that could work. I'm guessing Carter wears #98

40?

EDIT: oops, guess it is retired.

I have no inside knowledge but maybe those Georgia coaches were only saying bad things about Carter to the 3 or 4 teams he did not want to play for?

This was a perfect draft for him. He's on the clear SB favorite (not saying KC is not better, just that their path is more difficult) and he's back with his dawgs.

I sure as hell would rather play for Siri, with these guys, and in Philly than for Pete, with an old Wagner and a bunch of schlubs,  and in Seattle.

It would make sense as to why the Georgia beat writers have no idea what people are talking about.

Told you Rashaun Woods sucked 😁

One of my favorite college receivers and one of the biggest NFL busts.   Definitely a huge fail on my part there.  😕

I think Nolan takes 0. And as soon as there's a Kelly Green version, I'm clicking Buy Now.

Yeah I hadn't thought of that, 0 would be cool.

It's ok. I loved Brandon Pettigrew and was crushed when we didn't get him.

For a guy who doesn’t like practice, JC is well coached -and- he was on a 5 star roster; you coast and there are plenty of capable guys who’d love some of your snaps…very competitive environment.
