I hate Gannon because he had good players but his scheme made us frustrated often. 

Not once, but TWICE in the SB there was a WIDE OPEN receiver that scored an easy TD.

Hoping Desai is better. The talent is there.

With this D line including veterans Cox, Graham & Reddick plus veteran corners they should be easy to coach.

Not the biggest Gannon fan… but I don’t think a phone call affected his SB prep.

He had no idea how to stop a good QB, and the turf robbed the D of any chance to overcome that.

Absolutely no excuse for that performance with that much talent. None. And they had pretty much all of their guys back with the exception of Barnett. Had to be the most unprepared defense I've seen all year. And it's pretty clear Gannon's head wasn't all the way in the game when he had 2 weeks to prepare.

I can see the similarities. I like Achane a lot. Would be thrilled if we could get him.

Shouldn't have been taking any phone calls at all. Could've waited 2 weeks. Doesn't make sense. He was distracted. Had to be. There's no other reason for them to be that unprepared.

Yup.  The Gannon defense, like a lot of other modern NFL schemes, is built to prevent the deep throws and try to force teams to nickel-and-dime their way down the field while hoping for an error (penalty or turnover).  The elite QBs have figured out already how to beat that philosophy, and Mahomes has been forced by defenses the past couple of years to be more patient -- so he was well prepared for it.

Played against SEC talent so he has that going for him. Him and Zach Evans.

Would rather some combo of G/T, S, CB, LB before RB today. We can probably score a solid RB later or UDFA. It's a deep class.

Without Seattle sewn on - I would have no idea what uniform that is.
