We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Have the Eagles actually interviewed Desai yet?

If you're Dennard Wilson, at what point are you looking to leave to get a better opportunity elsewhere? There's a pretty big difference between how they are conducting their DC search vs their OC. I get due diligence and all but it's got to be deflating to already be in building and hear about all these outside guys they are searching for.

Seems that the Eagles aren't overly impressed with him, or the scheme that Gannon employed... or the Super Bowl made them want to go in a different direction.

We nearly "settled" for our second ring in franchise history.

In a trash conference. Like i said before. Weird year

At 4m i see value. At 40 i see disaster

He scored 35 in the SB and outperformed Mahomes.  What are we doing here?

Maybe they want to keep the position coaches on defense and just hire a DC? Though that seems strange to me. Would that impact scheme of the new DC?

They could pull a Fangio with Leonhard to keep him around as a consultant while letting him rehab.  Win/win

We're coming to the realization that TJ watched every single game of the season far more intoxicated than previously suspected.

This makes sense.  They pretty much copied the Georgia defense last year.

Just a total clown take.

Its Sirianni's offense and virtually all starters will be back so there's little that's going to change. However, on the defensive side there will be quite a bit of change and the FO seems to be searching both the NFL and college ranks.

I bet it is frustrating for Wilson, but maybe they are trying to get different perspectives on the scheme they run and how other coaches would adapt it. Siri mentioned the overall scheme on defense is going to remain and he has some situational non-negotiables. Maybe Sirianni is seeing he needs to be more flexible with those and that interviewing different coaches at different levels and with different specialties is opening him up more. Would be interesting to know who is in these interviews, is it just Sirianni, Howie, and Lurie?

I really like how Sirianni is not afraid to change things if its not working, like his play calling. Not many coaches would do that. I think it's down to Dennard Wilson and Sean Desai, but the FO seems to like to cast wide nets for future years/hires.

The way it was worded makes you think something like that could be in the works down the road?   Don't need to make any statement at all if you move on from someone.  The fact that they put it out there is interesting.  Probably nothing but nothing would be not saying a word.

I think it's potentially an issue but it's not an issue for next season.  It's not like he's going anywhere and he's tied to the new DC succeeding.

He's going to get a market setting type deal. The question is how much flexibility he gives the Eagles.

Add him to the staff later in the season.  Succession plan for when the next DC gets promoted.

Have to. Not arguing that. But the impact on the roster will be real, most likely on D. And need to be thinking after next season have to pay smitty

I'm not sure he's even under contract currently as most position coaches sign 2 year deals. He previously left the Jets to come here in a lateral move so I could see him doing that again if he ends up not getting the job.

Reasonable people are allowed to disagree reasonably.  You two clearly disagree and have your respective reasons.  It is what it is.

With some luck he takes a more team friendly approach and looks to make up for it with endorsements made thru him being the leader of great Eagles teams.
