Add hi to the staff later in the season.  Succession plan for when the next DC gets promoted.

I'm all for adding him or anyone to have a general plan in place, but it's not often a DC here get's promoted to HC. Before Gannon who was the last Defensive guy to get poached as a HC? I can't even think of one.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Hopefully a new precedent.

Where did user likes and the starter status display go?  People had throphies and such next to their profile picutre but I'm not seeing that anymore.

It's in your profile.

Yeah saying Hurts getting $4M a year would be the only good contract for him isn't a clown take.  I take it back!

Got it thank you.

That’s not what he said. You’re so easily triggered

Starter status is still there but hidden. Hover over the avatar on PC and you get the rank. Reaction score is still there as well but just not displayed under your name now. On PC you can see it all if you hover over someones avatar or name

With the exception of Cox, the Eagles consistently overdraft DTs that never have much impact in round 1-2.  Some bust completely, while others just start for a while and respectably hold the fort.

I don’t think Davis is on the trajectory of ever being an impact, disruptive lineman.  It’s early and he’s got time, but he didn’t come remotely close to showing that this year.  He just looked like a big unathletic lug on the field.  Everyone who defends him better never criticize the 40 yard dash at the combine, because that’s all he’s got right now.

I don't think that was the plan. Howie had an interview sometime after the draft where he said he questioned his scouting team to explain to him why Davis isn't just a two down run stopper because he wouldn't use that high of a pick on such a player, he then went into a little of what the scouts had to say which all sounded great. I can't imagine he's thrilled though after this year. I'm still holding out hope, he just seems like he needs more time in the NFL to develop but who knows. It would be a major disappointment and will hurt this team if he doesn't turn out to be a force in the middle and deliver on projections the scouts sold to Howie.

I’m optimistic he’ll ultimately end up being a good draft pick. Cox level, probably not, but do think he’ll develop into an above average player. I don’t think he’ll be Cox or Ngata but also don’t think he’ll just be a bigger Bennie Logan.

You're probably smart, if both Saban and Kirby are fighting for you.

Its Sirianni's offense and virtually all starters will be back so there's little that's going to change. However, on the defensive side there will be quite a bit of change and the FO seems to be searching both the NFL and college ranks.

I bet it is frustrating for Wilson, but maybe they are trying to get different perspectives on the scheme they run and how other coaches would adapt it. Siri mentioned the overall scheme on defense is going to remain and he has some situational non-negotiables. Maybe Sirianni is seeing he needs to be more flexible with those and that interviewing different coaches at different levels and with different specialties is opening him up more. Would be interesting to know who is in these interviews, is it just Sirianni, Howie, and Lurie?

I really like how Sirianni is not afraid to change things if its not working, like his play calling. Not many coaches would do that. I think it's down to Dennard Wilson and Sean Desai, but the FO seems to like to cast wide nets for future years/hires.

Sirianni said that about the defense but their actions are saying a different story. It would make no sense to hire someone like Joseph to call the D in the Gannon style. We'll see what happens here.

It's a positive that Sirianni changed things about himself for sure. I'm still a bit concerned he might be too loyal to his coaches. Michael Clay should be fired but Sirianni put an immediate squash to that and acted as if it wasn't even a thought in his mind. Moorehead deserves to be fired, but seems like he's coming back. He can't even go one PC without talking about Frank Reich or his Mount Union coach. This is more of a long term concern of mine as mostly everything is currently working. When more thing's aren't, I'd be interested in his response to handling it.

Hurts was 11 rushing attempts away from the most rushes by a QB in a season and would have easily cleared it if he hadn’t gotten hurt. He also rushed more than he did in 2021. Not sure what argument there could possibly be that he ceased to be a running QB.

if you mean "just a running QB” than I would agree.

I have a bit of a love/hate with Jalen's rushing.  He's so electric and such an amazing running QB, but at the same time I'm afraid that all this rushing will greatly shorten his NFL career.  It seems like most rushing QBs are one good hit away from becoming a lot less electric.  Or worse, when their rushing ability diminishes because of age they become a lot less effective as a QB because now they have to rely solely upon their arm.    That said, I hope I'm wrong and that Jalen's career will be long and result in multiple championships.

I think the plan for Hurts’ rushing in 2023 should be a bit different.  Subtract all the short yardage "push” plays.  Subtract the short runs that go for TDs.

Minus those aforementioned plays, Hurts should be averaging minimum 6.5 yards per rush.  Anything less is not a good use of physical wear/risk on his body.  The running plays that go for 5 yards or fewer should be reserved for RBs.  Any time Hurts runs for less than 6.5 and a first down or TD is poor design or decision.

I was actually hoping that Howie/Lurie would do what they did when Doug was too loyal and just fire the ST coach themselves

Jeff Fisher.

I never had a strong take on Sanders besides not to pay him big money. But after that SB showing, I am leaning more towards moving on despite the price.

We nearly "settled" for our second ring in franchise history.

Miles Sanders has below-average vision, has an injury history, is not a reliable blocker and is not a reliable receiver.

We should let him walk if he wants anything over 3M.

At some point they have to draft one high, and this is a good year to do so. They continue to get themselves in trouble with the big FA contracts, and outside of a year or two don't get the performance to match the contract. I know Howie is good at working the cap, but I'd like there to be more consistency at CB. There's at least 3 that are worthy of drafting around 10, Gonzalez, Porter Jr., and Witherspoon if they can move back a bit. I think Gonzalez will be long gone, but they should have a shot at the other 2.

I rank those 3:

1. Witherspoon

2. Gonzalez

3. Porter

He just left though for the same job, didn't he? He wasn't a HC until mid-90's.

You know what team he coached though?

Didn't Sanders get injured in the SB and that's why he went MIA?

I wouldn't sign Sanders to anything more than a couple million for 1 year. He's not a winning RB to me.

He had been injured since late November. He went out of the SB after the first play but came back in. But he was certainly affected
