We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

But not until round 7. Positional value

Howie was like screw this I'm bored.

Quality, cheap RB room. Still am really hoping Sermon gets more involved but he’s probably the odd man out.

Swift, Gainwell, Scott, Penny, Sermon

I like Sermon

We can now cut Trey Sermon.

Why are you saying that like you want him to be cut?

4th is a lot for an odd man out, plus injury history…

Its a 4th round pick TWO drafts away. The eagles will recouperate that pick somewhere along the way over the next 2 years.

It's our projected surplus of comp picks next year that allows Howie to make today's moves (yes, I know the Swift trade was a 2025 4th and not a 2024, but the capital still applies to the situation.) I'd say smart to spend that surplus now instead of later and that's what Roseman is doing.

Let’s go!

Swifts injuries aren't nearly as bad as people make them out to be.  He's no more injury prone than Miles Sanders.  He's played in 40 out of 50 games.  Not that you want him getting injured at all but that's not as bad as others.

Look at his game logs. A lot of those games he played in weren’t for long.

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! Good call on swift sir

I saw on ESPN the other day Marcus Spears said please Dallas go get Swift. I swear if he goes to the Eagles I'm going to lose my mind.

Maybe they could splice Swift and Penny together in a laboratory to avoid future injuries.

We have the technology.

So that definitely takes RB off the board today. So WR, LB, P, Jake Witt? Lol

If they lose him after this season they'll probably get a 5 back in comp and if they re-sign him it was obviously worth it

Swift is fantastic. Injury concerns but if he’s healthy he’s going to kill it with Hurts keeping the defense in beach sand and this Oline.

its a damn shame Scott got re-signed. We can still improve on that spot in this draft. Chase Brown, a more surefire big back hammer like Rodriguez...

Move Gainwell to the slot.  Keep Sermon and trade Quez

Swift's performance against the Eagles in week 1 of last year probably factored into this trade.

Howie gonna Howie

Between Swift and Penny one of them should be healthy at a time. If both are healthy, wow. Talk about thunder and lightning. Added bonus, he is a great receiver and another Georgia bulldog. Howie is playing 3d chess against the rest of the league.

Was thinking exactly this.

Suggested trading for Swift months ago.  Couldn't be happier with this.

Gibbs at 12 has helped shape this entire draft for the Eagles.

Great point

And he is an exceptionally good RB, way better than Hunt, for a year in which the team is trying to get back and win a SB

I never said he wasn’t a good. What I said to you was he is injury prone and you were going to have to give up something of value to get him. Which they did. A 4th round pick was the only way the lions were gonna deal him cause it made more sense to just hold off til after preseason if it was gonna be less than ideal compensation.

Again they give up something to get him for a year. The only thing that works in their favor is that they’re going to get a compensatory pick if he leaves and plays really well. And I never said I wouldnt trade for him at the right price. I gave  you reasons why there’s issues with just trading for him such as you would have to give up something of value and he is injury prone along with having an injury prone RB in penny too. My point on hunt is basically a free lottery ticket as he was gonna get peanuts (also if you read my post to you chubb in that browns offense the second half of the second dropped from 5.65 yards per carry to 4.3. Hunt was 4.1 his first 12 weeks before watson came back. So it might just be the browns offense had a running game issue and hunt got 21 carries last 5 games so 4 Carries a game cause they phased him out after the deadline when he was rumored to be pissed off he wasn’t dealt or getting an extension)
