We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Maybe they can share the same jersey number - forcing one to not be able to dress each week.

I’m thinking they might just go that route of sitting one each game. Gainwell upped his game 2nd half of last year and Scott just his thing. Seems silly at first glance but why not.

Move up and get Bryce Ford-Wheaton

If he can stay healthy, Swift will be a tremendous asset - especially receiving. Didn’t break the bank for him with the trade either. Good acquisition- fingers crossed

Still want Bryce Ford-Wheaton badly. We are thin as hell at WR if Brown or Smith get hurt.

he must have a major weakness.   He has the size and the speed and he's been predicted all along as like a 7th.

God i hope not they usually suck

You serious? Joseph was great last year. Suh solid. Ajayi was awesome. Tate only mediocre. He hits at least 50% and they’ve been very important hits in the SB runs to fill in when holes open up.

Swift & Penny > Sanders. Cost less in salary too.

They are going to get the pick back. My point was that Hunt is gassed and a dbag and would have taken up opportunity resources, like not trading for swift, if the team used your strategy. Your strategy was not a free lottery ticket as you say. Going down that would have had implications for other decisions. I’m very pleased with the decision to bring swift on the team for a 2025 4th. I can also see that you aren’t going to admit any flaw in your thinking so we don’t need to continue the discussion.

Did you read what I wrote about the Browns running attack? I am guessing you didn’t and ignored it which was response to your definitive that he was gassed. Because chubb saw his yards per carry the last 8 weeks of the season drop by 1.3 yards per carry.  so if you’re going to tell me hunt is gas then I guess chubb must’ve been declining as well cause both saw their YPC dip and not as effective. their running attack was not nearly as good as it was in the beginning of the season. chubb went from 5.65 yards per carry through 9 games to 4.3 the last 8. Hunt was at 4.1 through 12 weeks then they phased him out to just 21 rushes the last 5 weeks after he got irritated with his role and not offered an extension. maybe the Cleveland Browns rushing attack wasnt as good the second half of the year and hunt isn’t completely finished

there’s also flaws in your logic. If he gets hurt (like he has) and the eagles staff falls out of favor with him like the lions did then weren’t my concern valid? Also, what happens if hunt signs somewhere else and he is solid? Then was my lottery ticket for free really flawed?

I also think your opportunity cost argument doesn’t hold whatever for multiple reasons. I don’t believe if the Eagles signed hunt that they wouldn’t have tried to complete this deal if they thought swift was a better player and more upside especially when hunt is making nothing, not a lock on the roster (as he could be gassed) and could be released for absolutely nothing. Add on in the preseason with my lottery ticket (as penny and swift sit out) I could showcase Kareem hunt if i wanted to keep him on the roster. And if Kareem Hunt looked good that I could potentially traded him to a team needing a veteran back and get some sort of value out of that lottery ticket as well. Not like howie hasn’t made trades where he’s gotten anything for guys like JJAW and reagor who were never good

i also said if they could get swift for a 6-7th round pick then go ahead and do it. I also said they’d want a 4th or conditional 5th.  which is kind of what they got in a 2025 4th rounder and also is equal for the eagles to a 6th/7th round pick by the draft chart. But I’m guessing that was glanced over.

Also my concerns i brought up still exist. Does he still have injury concerns that details that trader? Did Penny’s injury prone status also go away so now you have 2 guys like that? That was part of my reasoning for not wanting to give up something of value but if they were willing to do it for 188 or 6/7th round value i said go ahead and do it.

Don't forget, can they block for "QB"?

I don't think I saw anyone claim this is a slam dunk.  We acquired an established player with known upside for almost nothing.  Reason to be excited.

There’s definitely some people on here who think it’s a slam dunk. This works if he stays healthy and doesn’t lose trust in the Eagles coaching staff like he lost trust from the Lions coaching staff.

The lions loved that kid going into 2021 and 2022. Like absolutely loved him and wanted him to be their RB going forward. By the end of 2022 they were done with him and wanting to move on. Heck he was healthy down the stretch and made excuses when he returned about why they did not give him more touches with a shot at the playoffs. Imo that’s a red flag type of thing. Not saying I wouldn’t have done the trade but that’s definitely concerning to me.

I wouldn’t call it almost nothing. They gave up a 4th rounder for Robert Quinn at the deadline and we had people on here ****ing about it when it didn’t workout.

There are some kind of interesting WRs on the board.

Alright folks... I've been vocally opposed to a lot of Howie's moves over the last few years.  He has earned his way back into my good graces.  I will not criticize Howie for the next 12 months... I reserve the right to criticize Howie immediately as the NFL Draft starts next year.    This moratorium on Howie criticism ends:  8PM EDT Thursday, April 25, 2024.

That is all.

Howie, you do you.

Swift is younger than the Cowboys 2nd round pick Schoonmaker

I believe at a point in time where you seemed overly negative about him I admitted he has earned some criticism for extending players too long (though I understood the rationale for doing it), but I said, if there is any GM who youd want to dig us back out of this mess, its Howie Roseman.

He is the best there is. Things are cyclical. And with Howie, the lows are never too low.
