Thought Witt would be off the board by RD5 due to measurables, but he can't play at all in 2023.

Would take him, Stout can maximize him.

I don’t mind Covey, average returner with very sure hands. Think he was like 8th in the league in PR ypr, a little under 9.5 per

He got better as the season went along and while it looked like he'd snap in half with every return he somehow managed to survive without getting hurt and hung on to the ball.

Yeah....true for just about every team

Yeah I mean I’ve never understood this argument. People say we have nothing at qb2 like that’s a surprise. The league has never produced 32 much less 64

If only RS tweaked the Eagles' interest.

Yep, my original post that you quoted was about cap room.

Im down for Witt or Vorhees at 188.

Giants take Eric Gray. They continue to draft well. Banks, Schmitz, Hyatt and Gray is really solid quartet.

The NFC is down.  And who is the 49ers' QB?  🤷‍♂️

Tom Brady?

Boston Scott's position is anything but guaranteed.  Swift, Penny, Gainwell should be locks.  With Swift in the mix now, Deuce Vaughn is on my radar.  NOW you can bring in a guy with his skill set to add to this RB room.

Vaughn, get them zigging while Deuce zags

I finally listened to the Day 2 presser with Nick and Howie.  Nick mentioned it’s too early to say if Steen is in the competition for RG this season; Howie did say they saw him at the Senior Bowl getting guard reps and were very impressed.

Realizing transitioning him to guard is the likely scenario long term, I still wonder if he’s more valuable for 2023 as the Eagles swing tackle.  He has quite a lot of game experience at both LT and RT.

I tend to agree with your assessment. I think he is a long-term answer at right guard for them when Jason Kelce retires, and Jurgens has to move over into center. Tbh i don’t think Driscoll is as good at tackle as he is at guard. so he might be the better option as the swing tackle this year.

Also Jack Driscoll is likely only here until the end of the season. So you’re going to also need to find a long-term option at swing tackle and long-term option that’s a starting right tackle. I’m guessing the starting right tackle option is in the 2024 draft. Might be able to find another developmental guy to eventually replace Driscoll with these last 4 picks. However it is a weaker  tackle class in terms of depth

Forgot about Vorhees.

So many options for Stoutland-U

They’d make sense. Vorhees when he gets healthy likely be a starter over time or compete with steen for the starting RG spot in 2024 if kelce goes onto retire. Witt is a project but maybe you can at worse develop him into a swing tackle to replace Driscoll.

RBs- McBride, McIntosh, Hull, Rodriguez

WRs- Perry, Hutchinson, Demus, Gipson (Return specialist), maybe even begin to consider Palmer for the speed despite not natural hands.

TE- Kuntz

OL- Witt, Vorhees, Ojukwu

DL- Brooks, Enechukwu, Stills, Redmond

LB- Pace, Orji, Diabate

CB- Trice, Hodges-Tomlinson, Valentine, Ricks,

S- Jason Taylor

I'd like healthy running backs in the playoffs.  The Eagles could take one and put them in bubble wrap and open in the playoffs, or maybe keep him there for the Super Bowl.

Watching NFL network, they can't stop geeking about what the Eagles are doing.  "masterclass"

On PFF it’s assumed the Eagles yada yada yada. Glowing over Seattle and Steelers

on the other hand,  nobody knew who he was 2 months ago.  I want Witt.

If Stout can't develop Witt, no one on earth can.

I would get him.

Eagles trading up: #Texans trade 191 to Philly for 230, 248

so 188 and 191?

Eagles traded up 15 picks in advance. Makes sense given our UDFA approach + relatively limited roster holes.

BOOOOO

I wanted 2 7th rounders.

Yes, I'm quibbling over 7th rounders.

So now they have 188, 191, and one 7th?

I think Nick had a bit of a knee-jerk reaction to the question and did not want to put pressure on Steen by saying that yes, he would compete to be a starter.  But then he said, like three times, the best guy was going to play.  That means Steen is in the competition.

That's how I'm reading things.  If there's a player they want now, maybe they are thinking 191 and 188 to get to the 170s?
