Because trading the best player in the NBA isn't going to make the Sixers a contending team again anytime soon.  He has had awful injury luck at the worst times but you have to ride it out and take your chances with him because players as great as Embiid don't come along that often, especially to the same team.  Trade him for a Durant like haul that the Nets got?  Yeah first round licks for a team that won't be lottery during the course of those first round since Booker won't be leaving the Suns anytime soon.

Trading Embiid is a terrible idea.  Consistent with just nothing but terrible Sixers takes from the Blog over the years from people who tune in to only watch the Sixers some of the Sixers playoff games.  Pure WIP caller takes when the blog talks about the Sixers.
