Isnt it amazing how he can do that, but had trouble knocking some bags around at his pro day? What the hell happened there?

Dude's life was falling apart and there was a small, but real, chance that his NFL career was in jeopardy.

Probably hit the Ben & Jerry's too hard in those weeks.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Spent the last 2 months dealing with legal issues, and couldn't properly train.

Scouts said that Carter performed well at the beginning of the workout, but was just gassed by the end.

Even though Carter is the much more talented player, his selection reminds of selecting Dickerson in 2020.

Their play on the field was never the question, with Dickerson it was injuries, with Carter it's character concerns.

Every single thing that occurred this offseason had to happen exactly as it did for the best player in the draft to end up a Philadelphia Eagle

A team that converted two players to FB commits to a FB that converted to a different position.

Good answer.

And that’s not a denial. 😄

One of the best answers he's had about anything.  I like that he's pissed about it.  Not a we're moving on attitude.

I was just looking at our UDFAs to see if anyone has any return experience. Thought maybe TJ Cole would, but didnt.

Surprised to find Ngata returned kicks as a freshman. 14 kick returns for 23.2 yard average.

Thought maybe Haselwood would, but he didnt either. Wouldnt minde seeing both of these WRs give it a shot. If Haselwood can really crack 4.4s in the 40, and runs as physically as I have seen him play he could be a weapon there. But no experience doing it.

Highly encourage you guys to check out the Buckeyes/Bulldogs game. OSU's LT, C and RT all got drafted this year, so it's a good sense of NFL talent. They repeatedly slide to Carter's side. The stats will show that Carter had 52 snaps and only 1 tackle, but he was clearly the focus of the Buckeyes. If he gets that kind of attention in the NFL, Reddick/Sweat are going to EAT.

This article had a good breakdown.

Give me Deion Jones and Julio Jones now and I think this team is pretty complete.

Larry Fitzgerald

Since I cant follow the entire league super closely Id like to hear about some of these players and why their teams arent picking up their option.

Simmons, Henderson, Kinlaw, Chaisson, Igbinoghene

Can Simmons be better utilized in our defense?

Is Henderson being utilized as a man cover guy who may do better in zone? Igbinoghene?

What the hell happened to Kinlaw? He should have been Jalen Carter like. He looks like a comic book super hero made out of rock, and played well too.

Chaisson a better backup to Reddick/Smith than our current backups?

I think as with Agholor & Barnett the 5th year option price on a 1st rd pick is high and often a mistake to pick up even if you think the guy is ok and might have a future.  Teams seem to be wising up to not picking it up all the time

Kinlaw has bad knees. He has had a lot of setbacks with them and he hasn’t produced when "healthy”.

I think Simmons is just "when being a freakbeast goes wrong”. He’s a good athlete, he might just be too much of a positionless player at the NFL level.

I watched the first round of the draft today since I didn’t get to really see any analysis while in attendance. One thing I noticed during Stroud’s highlights was that Carter constantly pressured him.

Also some weird maturity issues too.

Despite not having to pay a starting QB salary - I feel like SF has an expensive roster… just not being very creative to keep him onboard to see if he pans out.

Surprised about Simmons.  I thought he started to come in to his own last year.  He's on another level when it comes to athletes.  I'd have no problem taking a flier on him.

Simmons isn’t a safety and he isn’t a linebacker. Just an odd fit most places. I bet Belichick could make it work.

Henderson is lazy.

Becton injures and has work ethic concerns. He lost a ton of weight while rehabbing and is in much better condition.

Jackson isn’t good.

Not sure the deal with Ruiz.

Chaisson stinks.

Reagor stinks.

Murray stinks.

Brooks was really starting to play well but had a serious knee injury late in the year

Queen isn’t good.

Igbinoghene stinks.

Edwards-Helaire should be a passing down back but isn’t used that way. Not sure why. He probably just stinks.

Posting pictures of young girls on a sports message board?

5th year options are also now fully guaranteed when picked up, where as a few years ago you could exercise and end up cutting them before year 5. So that naturally is going to push teams to being more risk averse.
