Rudy and Remember the Titans are up there with it but knowing how fabricated for Hollywood Rudy was kind of takes some of the greatness away from it.

I LOVE The Program but boy, you watch that now and you just know it's a 90s movie and it's BEYOND cheesy.  The football scenes with Lattimer, Mack and Jefferson talking while they are playing are terrible.  But it's a classic and I'll always love it.

Varsity Blues is always going to be a favorite just because it came out my senior year and well we all loved it...plus whipped cream bikini.

Underrated football movie....The Combacks.  Great spoof on all football movies.  David Koechner plays some really great characters in the movies he does.

Also, embarrassed to admit, I've never watched Any Given Sunday.  I need to sit down and watch one of these days. 

I know, lots more out there...The Replacements, All The Right Moves, Neccessary Roughness, The Waterboy, Invincible, We Are Marshall etc.   

 

I actually watched the Program not too long ago.  It did seem kinda cheesy the first hour watching but the back half of the movie was great.

Remember the Titans gets my vote as best football movie.  FNL would be #2.  Of course I've never seen Rudy and saw Any Given Sunday many years ago and to be honest I don't really remember much about it so I assume I didn't really get into it much.

I don't get why they haven't taken a look at him. My guess is that Chip Kelly has scared them off of going after guys with aggressive personalities and egos. 

It will be 2031 and Eagles fans will still be talking about moving Maddox to safety.

I'm fine with it not being Joseph.  I was more willing than others to give him a shot based on rep but to date his defenses haven't been good

Yea he blitzes like almost half the time and his defenses are never that good because of it. Everyone would be complaining about our DB's getting lit up after the first game of the season.

Friday Night Lights

RTT and FNL could be 1 and 1A.  Both are great movies and going back to soundtracks, RTT's is great too as it helps put you in the era and again, helps tell that story.

Yep.  He's the one guy I didn't want.  Much rather go with an unproven or up and comber instead of a re-tread who hasn't done much other than show he's an average coach.

DTs - Jordan Davis/Milton Williams/ Cox comes back on a team friendly deal/Tuipulotu/Ellis/Rookie - I think Davis will get more snaps 

MLB/WLB - Edwards/Dean - I think they will keep Edwards but move on from White.

S - CJGJ and Epps - I think they will both be back, Blankenship as a 3rd safety, 

Don't think Joseph was ever among their top guys based on philosophy.

Yeah, I'm from Hawaii originally and I know a lot of people take West Coast teams from there, but I went to the Pro Bowl in 1990 and saw Randall the year he won MVP and that kind of set me on my path there. That and there was an NFL Films release on the Hardest Hitting Players and one of the players named the entire Eagles Defense, and I paid attention to the D a lot more after that.

That's fair, another great player. I have gone back and watched highlights and can understand why, but 1990 was my beginning of high school, so Chuck was a little before my time.

I dont know enough about the slot corners across the league but for me Maddox has always been a big "Meh".

Is Zimmer an option? Just keep him away from anything related to the offense, but he was always a good d co-ordinator
